The Berburry

What a wonderful B&B in Torquay. We first stayed at the Berburry 12 months ago and weren’t disappointed on our 2 nights return last weekend! Steve and Wendy are so friendly & greeted and treated us like family. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast was fantastic. We will certainly be back!

What a fantastic find. Everywhere spotlessly clean & the decor is of a very high standard. Wendy & Steve made us feel very welcome & are wonderful hosts. Superb breakfast with lots of choice & all freshly cooked. One of the best I've ever had. Would highly recommend & will definitely be returning. Thank you Wendy & Steve.

Best hotel experience ever!! Wendy and Steve are wonderful hosts so welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and the room was superb so comfortable. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room and was absolutely delicious ! The honesty bar is an absolute gem too ! Will definitely be staying at The Berburry again.

Best weekend ever Wendy and Steve absolutely 1st class hosts charming polite hotel loads of character. Room was so so nice clean spotless the breakfast WOW seriously find me a better one I don't think so !! And now the honestly licenced bar you help yourselves and write in the book what you've had so nice and refreshing. Great hotel nice people can't wait to go back

Could not fault , hotel and room was spotlessly clean , booked a junior suite room 10 which was spacious with a lovely super king bed . Hosts were very friendly ,recommended a local pub for food just around the corner which was excellent as well as a local taxi firm who were great for getting us to and from the Babbacombe theatre about 3km away. Breakfast was excellent ,overall a great stay and would have no hesitation recommending if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Torquay , we will definitely book again when returning to the area .

The best hotel we have ever stayed in! Wendy and Steve made us feel so welcome, nothing was ever too much trouble! The room was stunning and the decor was beautiful. The honesty bar was always well stocked and was perfect for when you didn’t feel like going out for a drink, you could just sit in the bar and play board games or read the magazines that were available. The breakfasts were all freshly prepared with lots of great options, like a full English and the fluffiest pancakes you can only dream about. There was also a beautiful breakfast bar with fruit juices and homemade yogurts (which were to die for!) with a choice of cereals too. Everything was locally sourced and there were also veggie options. Complementary Milk and fresh bottled water was available from the dining as and when we needed, to take back up to the room to make tea and coffee at our pleasure. There was also a gorgeous banana and white chocolate loaf in the dining room, it was the most delicious cake I have ever tasted, most nights 2 pieces came up with us it was just luxurious . And I think the cherry on top was when we had gone to check out they had saved the last piece for me, for the long journey home which was just amazing (thank you again) Thank you so much Wendy and Steve, will 100% be back again!
