Nice hotel very well located in a beautiful place. Our bedroom was big and comfortable, the view was nice, the crew were professional and kind. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We stayed in a Junior Suite and the view from our balcony was fantastic. The bedroom was very large with plenty of storage. I liked that the toilet was separate from the shower. The lounge in our room was small but had everything we needed: sofa, chairs, desk, lamp, and a small fridge. The served dinner buffet was very good but a bit pricey. But then again the view from the restaurant windows made it worth the price for the one night we ate there. The indoor pool was a nice experience especially when it had the jets going. We ate at the poolside bar several times and enjoyed it very much. We'd stay here again for sure.

Room was very nice, clean and spacious with a beautiful view. Staff was friendly, food had good choices. Business facilities were good, although air conditioning in conference room could have been a bit easier to control. Hotel is located in a beautiful area, bit far from the city.

We stayed as part of a small group on a walking holiday over the New Year. We liked our room despite having a view of the car park - this didn’t bother us. Reception quickly provided a kettle and sachets of drink for our room when asked. The group used one of the conference rooms on several occasions and it was good. We could not complain about the breakfast - the buffet was very extensive. Dinner was very good too and had several food options with enough to suit our vegetarian members. The staff were extremely helpful and personable both in the restaurant and at reception. New Year’s Eve dinner was exceptional and the whole evening was memorable from the free flowing drinks and canapés reception onwards. My husband used the spa and rated the massage as very good . It’s a shame the indoor pool is only 1 metre deep though! We found the hotel well maintained and clean. We’d like to come back in the future as we’d like to spend more time in Ericeira.

Paguei 175€/noite por um quarto, com pequeno almoço incluído. O pequeno almoço não é nada de especial, mas tendo em conta o ambiente, foi um momento bem passado. Um bocado insólito pedirem a um hóspede que lave a loiça que gastou ao pequeno almoço quando está a pagar 175€/noite mas ao fim e ao cabo acabou por ser um episódio cómico que só acrescentou a uma experiência bem passada. A parte menos boa foi ter reservado um quarto com cama de casal que tinha uma barra de madeira no meio, e ou se dormia de um lado da cama ou do outro. Quando se cobra estes valores, há que ter cuidado com alguns detalhes gente! De resto, pessoal muito simpático e boa experiência no geral.

Upon entering the Aethos Ericeira Hotel, located on a former cliff farm on the west coast of Portugal, we were immediately greeted by an ambiance of understated luxury and comfort. This gem, nestled in the charming coastal town of Ericeira, embodies a refined escape from the hustle and bustle, with the gentle lapping of the Atlantic Ocean in the background as a constant melody. The architecture and interior, designed by Lisbon-based Pedra Silva Arquitectos together with Spanish design studio Astet, celebrate a harmonious fusion of traditional Portuguese design with modern, minimalist aesthetics. Every detail, from the striking arched windows to the carefully chosen earth tones, contributes to a warm and inviting atmosphere that embraces every guest. The rooms are spacious and offer a range of modern conveniences, while the subtle earthy color palette, high-quality materials, and comfortable bed ensure a restful sleep and a sense of total relaxation. The breakfast was well cared for with plenty of choice of freshly prepared dishes. However, the dining area can feel a bit cramped at full occupancy of the hotel, especially in the off-season when it's less pleasant to sit outside. Nevertheless, the start of the day was always pleasant with a delicious breakfast in a charming setting. We recommend renting a car, as the nearest beaches are not easily reached on foot. Both Ericeira and the nearby Santa Cruz are nice villages to visit. For a day trip, it is worth driving to Praia Carvalhal in Comporta (about 2 hours drive) and enjoying the beautiful nature and a delightful lunch at the Sublime Comporta Beach Club. Another thrilling day trip is to Nazaré, known for its massive waves where die-hard surfers set world records. With waves that can reach up to 25 meters high, it's a breathtaking spectacle that attracts surfers and spectators from all over the world. What we particularly appreciated was the flexibility and understanding the staff showed when our daughter fell ill a day before our departure. Without hesitation, we were allowed to stay a bit longer in our room on the day of checkout, which made a world of difference in our situation. A downside was the lack of price lists for items in the minibar and spa treatments. It would have been helpful to have a clear overview of the costs for these extras. An extra word of appreciation is in place for Veronica, Andre, and Bruno, each of whom contributed to our great experience with a smile and a personal touch. And of course, our thanks to everyone we may have forgotten to mention, you all made our stay special. We were given the attic room with sloping ceilings and so kept banging our heads. When we mentioned this at reception and asked if we could change rooms they replied we couldn't change and yes our room was not great for tall people (my husband is 6' and I'm 5'6”). The hanging rail was good, like the room, if you were under 4' tall and there were no other hooks to hang a coat or dress! After the 2nd night the stench coming from the bathroom was just too much to bear and we asked if something could be done (it was making us both feel nauseous). They said they would fix it but didn't and we were so happy to leave after the 4th night as the stench was now keeping us awake!!!! The room was inadequate, the stench unacceptable but the balcony was nice and the bed was comfortable. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was good as were the downstairs communal facilities. I wouldn't have have written this review had, when I wrote to the hotel about my dissatisfaction, they replied with something more than an apology stating ”Regarding the smells felt in the plumbing you mentioned, unfortunately it is a problem felt throughout the village of Ericeira and when the weather is bad, it is a collateral damage that we suffer” I stayed in Ericeira in June and my daughter lives there and this is the first I've heard of it also, the weather was mainly warm and dry!
