I cannot fault the Beachcomber. It is definitely one of the better places on the Central Coast that I've stayed at. The hotel is styled really well and the rooms are modern and spacious. Staff are really friendly. Lilly at reception checked us in and she was great. We were even able to check in early and out late. The bar area during the day is great. You can sit and have almost 180 degree water views. The pool area is so nice and feels like a premium resort. We went to the bar at night and it was really lively with good music and people dancing. No issues with the bouncers (as other reviews mentioned). We didn't try the food so can't comment on that. There are lots of places nearby, we went to Island cafe for lunch and Mexicoast for dinner (both great). If you want a great getaway just an hour and half from Sydney, I would recommend the Beachcomber and will definitely be back.
