Brit Hotel Comtes de Champagne - Troyes Centre Historique

This was rather a nice surprise. The hotel is in the middle of Troyes (jolly convenient for visiting the Rashi house) It is simple and old-fashioned with no lift or air-conditioning. But it’s clean, with good showers, nice staff, who are very helpful, an effective fan in the room and is inexpensive. Plus the breakfast is very good value at €11.50pp with a range of croissants etc, breads, cereals, meat, cheese, fruit and fruit salad plus home-made jam. Coffee not so great but that’s so often the way. We would stay again.

If you want pristine decor, perfectly level floors and no creaky floorboards, then this is not the place for you. However, if you are prepared to accept that fitting modern amenities into a medieval building while maintaining much of the historic character means it won't be perfect, then I suggest you might like this hotel

The bedroom we stayed was not well maintained the decor needed to be kept better and revamped. Not decent options for people with dietary requirements. Not impressed. I don't we will book again here. We felt a depressed because the room was really dark and oppressing

This hotel has everything for the tourist - it's in a beautiful (small) city with historic streets, courtyards and squares. Absolutley stunning. The Hotel is stunning - old, historic, wonky woodwork and floors - all very good. The only thing it needed was a refurbish. The rooms are dated, worn and tired. Bit of property maintenance would make all the difference. For the price point, it was acceptable.

A last minute stay in Troyes to meet friends before heading further out to a smaller village nearby. The hotel is in an old building that represents the local Alsace architecture. It is crooked, some parts of it is falling apart, but it is what you get for the money. The key thing is the location, which is great and you really get the feel of this old town. I had a top floor room, which is not what you think. It was small single room with a small bathroom. The shower was just big enough to fit in to. the flat screen TV they advertise is tiny. By the time I got back to this hotel at 3am, it really didn't matter. A place to lay my head to rest before the Saturday market.

Bien triste d avoir payé plus de 200€ avec petit déjeuner pour 3 personnes, pour 1 chambre et 1 nuit dans cet état. C'est scandaleux. Odeur de je ne sais quoi Permanente. Vétusté impressionnante, je pensais être dans 1 chambre insalubre Petit.dejeuner peu en rapport avec ce qui est écrit. Accueil parfait. . Le reste c'est vraiment un retour en 1970.

Hotel molto grazioso all'interno di una tipica casa a graticcio. Ambiente ben arredato, pulito e originalissimo. Personale molto disponibile e gentile. Posizione centralissima e vicino a un parcheggio (l'hotel dispone anche di posti a pagamento). Consigliatissimo

A lire les commentaires mauvais, certaines personnes doivent oublier qu'il s'agit ici d'un deux étoiles et que si tout n'est pas parfait, c'est normal. En ce qui nous concerne, nous avons été ravis par plusieurs choses. L'emplacement est vraiment unique, loger dans une de ces vieilles demeures qui penchent (même le sol de notre chambre penchait, ce qui donne un effet assez intéressant) en plein centre ville est extra. Nous avons eu une place dans le parking (2 places seulement) donc ravis aussi, le prix est modique pour être au centre. La literie est bonne, la décoration faite avec goût. Un hôtel rustique comme on peut les aimer. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, annoncé comme continental mais avec œufs, fromages, charcuteries etc. Surtout un grand merci à la jeune fille qui était partout en même temps. A la réception, au bar, au petit déjeuner, partout. Le soir elle était là, le matin aussi. D'une efficacité redoutable, aux petits soins au petit déjeuner, et en plus avec le sourire. Le seul point négatif toutefois est la moisissure dans la salle de bains, sur les joints mais aussi au plafond. Ca n'enlève rien au reste mais c'est effectivement assez décevant. Il serait si facile de remédier à ça...

Eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, denen ein historisches Ambiente lieber ist als der sterile Komfort eines Kettenhotels. Das Hotel verteilt sich auf zwei altehrwürdige, nicht kaputtrenovierte mittelalterliche Fachwerkhäuser. Unser Zimmer (Nr. 20) war schlicht, aber mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Zudem sehr ruhig, weil gegen den Innenhof gerichtet. Knarrende Treppen und schiefe Deckenbalken bilden Teil des Gesamterlebnisses. Erwähnenswert zudem der herzliche Empfang und die Kontakte mit dem jungen, motivierten Personal. Der hübsche Frühstücksraum und der Umfang des Frühstückbuffets übertraf die Erwartungen an ein preisgünstiges **-Hotel bei weitem. Sogar frisch gepresster Orangensaft war mit dabei. Wenn wieder einmal Troyes, dann kommt nur die Unterkunft im Comtes de Champagne in der Altstadt infrage.
