The bartender Max was awesome. Really enjoyed sitting and talking to him. He was helpful with tips about the area. The hotel is in a great location and the staff is extremely nice and helpful. The rooms are a great size and super clean. Definitely recommend staying at the Tucson Marriott university hotel.

This is truly a 1 star hotel. It is dirty and falling apart. The key fobs deactivate easily, and in fact our key fob device on the door broke and locked us out late at night. The service staff were annoyed to have to help us get a new room, never offered to help us move our stuff or apologize and we waited hours to get this awful situation settled. Then the smoke alarm in the new room chirped all night. In the AM, we woke up to a broken shower which did not get fixed for hours. There was rude service people in the lobby that were totally unapologetic, unsympathetic and never offered anything to help us or make our experience better than awful. Our keys were deactivated over and over the next day as well. The freeway noise kept us up at night. You’ll regret booking this hotel so please avoid at all costs!

The room is ok with a park view and therefore rather quiet. However the breakfast needs some improvement. Food hasn’t been refilled as often and the waffle machine and yoghurt machine are not functioning well!

To Xavier Macias and the Staff at the Holiday Inn Express Tucson Mall, My mom and I we had an amazing stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tucson Mall. We have always loved staying there for a few years since it is right near close to the Cancer Center whereas I always get labs, see my doctors and the service has always been amazing. Whether if I have to get labs and/or an appointment this staff at the Holiday Inn Express has always gone above and beyond since they know us very well. We always like to get the two queen beds since we love the beds and they are comfy, our favorite room has always been Room 206 the room facing the swimming pool. Our room has always been so nice and amazing, we always enjoy the kitchenette. When we were there in January 2024 because I had to undergo radiation for thyroid cancer and I couldn't order out my mom and I cooked and made food ranging from breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our room and it was really cool on how this hotel has kitchenettes. My mom and I we love the Dove Hand Wash and Dove Body Lotion mounted in the bathroom that is really cool. Danny Jimenez, Christina Villalobos and the Housekeeping team really has accommodated us very good whenever we always stay here. We also really enjoy seeing Laura (the breakfast attendant) every morning for breakfast. She is super sweet to my mom and I, really nice, kind, and always so friendly to the both of us. We really enjoy the complimentary breakfast and how everything is good especially the cinnamon rolls and pancakes. We love Laura! She is the best and does an amazing job. In fact, Laura definitely does deserve a BONUS! for doing an excellent job. I got recognized as a Silver Elite member which was really cool. Xavier, Fernanda, Danitza, Martha, Danny, Christina, Laura, and everyone else at the Holiday Inn Express Tucson Mall has treated us like family and we really loved them on how soooo friendly, they're amazing, kind, and all of them have provided us an excellent tremendous service anytime whenever we always stay here for my appointments. We are so glad that we know them all and whatever we need they are always there for us. On behalf of my mom and I we really want to thank you all VERY much for EVERYTHING! taking great care of us and providing excellent service whenever we stay here. We really appreciate it! We truly can't thank you guys enough! This is really an amazing staff! We definitely are looking forward to coming back again soon and seeing all of you guys. My mom and I are definitely planning on if we decided to stay longer we really want to try one of your suites but overall it was a GREAT stay! We will ABSOLUTELY definitely recommend it to our friends and family whenever they are looking for a place to stay we will definitely recommend the Holiday Inn Express Tucson Mall because this is the #1 best hotel to stay at in Tucson. We really love the staff and I know whenever you stay here you will love the staff too. We really miss all of

Beautiful hotel and gorgeous pools! It’s a must stay in the Tucson area.

Really nice spot that fortunately, was not too crowded in the summer. I will definitely stay here again! There were two good swimming pools and the staff was very friendly.
