Hotel berhampiran Naran Point, Ulaanbaatar

Céntrico hotel, con amplias habitaciones, muy cómodas las camas. Nos alojamos en dos ocasiones en nuestro último viaje, comprobando dos esquemas de habitación diferentes, ambos espaciosos y confortables. Mucho mobiliario auxiliar. TV de gran tamaño. Baño con ducha (con hidromasaje) separada de la bañera. Como punto negativo, hay luces que no funcionan. Probamos el bufet de desayuno y cenamos un día, todo correcto.

We had two stays, one for one night and one for three after attending the Eagle Festival in western Mongolia. Arrival and check in was smooth and efficient. The front desk was able to hold a bag for us for the three days we spent away at the festival. We had breakfast included which was an easy way to start each day. The Nadam restaurant had Oktoberfest going on the night we arrived and we ate there again one other night. Service there was a bit slow to absent for both nights. The rooms were pleasant, roomy and clean. Beds were comfortable and there was a soft and a firm pillow for each person. We didn't have any special requests although I'm sure they would have been accommodated. The showers were roomy and water pressure/temp control very good. Wi-Fi was stable and strong throughout the hotel property. No password so connecting was easy. The hotel complex is located in a very convenient location which is great once you're there but can take some time coming from outside (tours, airport etc). We were able to walk to most attractions from the hotel and dine/drink in the area within walking distance. Overall pleasant staff, comfortable rooms and convenient location. Well worth considering while staying in UB.

I stayed at Edelweiss for a total of 7 nights as a solo traveler. It is considered centrally location but it is actually a little west of central, still a great location. Because of the traffic congestion, walking is the best way to get around (I averaged 2-9 miles a day). The rooms were clean, 2 bottles of water provided daily. The reception and housekeeping staff very nice, always available. The restaurant cafe is run by a different company/owner. It feels like a lounge and is nice place to hang out with glass of wine after long day touring. It is also popular with locals. It was closed on Sunday. The pasta dish & pizza were excellent. The complimentary breakfast buffet included tea & coffee (with warm milk for your coffee), juice drink, a very yummy cold oatmeal concoction with apples, yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs with meat to order. The breakfast coffee was subpar, but the restaurant served a great cappuccino (approx US $2.332). I didn't see an elevator; all rooms are on the 2nd & 3rd level. The hotel is tastefully decorated and the art on the wall is for sell. Just 1-2 blocks west are two restaurants that I highly recommend: Italian restaurant Albero's (on the east side of the Mika Hotel) and Lonsdale Art Lounge. There is no airport transfer service. I took a shuttle from airport for US$10.00. For my return to airport, it cost me $20.00. Allow minimum 1 hour. The street names in UB are confusing with poor signage. I consider the hotel to be on Embassy Rd., not Chin Van whatever Street.

Приехали мы в подружкой в отель 29.10.22 в 7 утра , были уставшие после поезда и хоть заселение стоит в 11 часов утра , нас заселила сразу прекрасная девушка на ресепшн. Очень понравился номер на 7 этаже, на столе бутылочки бесплатной воды, чай -Кофе , в ванной комнате принадлежности для душа , все бесплатно и кстати пополняется каждый день. Убирали в номере тоже каждый день. В номере все стандартно , две большие кровати , чайный столик , чайник , холодильник , телевизор (Кстати много русскоязычных каналов) есть сейф, что очень удобно. На завтрак шведский стол , вполне разнообразные завтраки, очень доброжелательные девушки готовят омлеты;) Очень хорошая в отеле звукоизоляция, ночью очень тихо. Что хочется особо отметить , на ресепшене познакомились с девушкой по имени Мига, она очень хорошо говорит по русски, она же быстро заселила нас в первый день. Мига и потом очень нам помогала по всем вопросам. С экскурсиями , с такси , с покупками Лекарства , продуктов и даже где что купить. Дала свой личный номер телефона и мы конечно постоянно пользовались ее добротой. Она золотой человек , потому как никогда не отказала , а подсказывала где что дешевле и как будет удобнее. Мига , я только из за знакомства с вами очень хочу приехать ещё в Монголию , именно в ваш отель. Отель рекомендую , соотношение цена - качество , ну и прекрасные сотрудники! I stayed 11th floor with amazing view 6th floor restaurant provides order made breakfast with great coffee All facility was good, new and clean Big screen TV and stylish rocking chair was so comfy Location was great with airport shuttle, Emart City center was all walkable distance All staff were friendly and great Eng. I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, checking in late on the first night and leaving very early in the morning off the second night. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable with decent wifi. The staff were excellent - helpful and thoughtful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. If i am lucky enough to get back to Ulaanbaatar I will stay there again. There was one person in particular - the lady that worked the front desk on the night of Mar 7th into early morning Mar 8th (I didn't get her name unfortunately) - that stood out. She was an outstanding member of your staff and a wonderful ambassador for Ramada Hotels. Keep up the great work!

This hotel does not accept international credit cards, though cards are willingly accepted by other hotels in Ulaanbaaatar. Their payment. system is antiquated, but they do accept cash. The staff is rude and is not willing to help the customers with payment problems. A talk with the Japanese-speaking director did not help to clarify the issue. The breakfast is poor and does not correspond to the pictures in their advertisements. The rooms and bathrooms are miniature sized, but the good thing is that they have hot water.

This hotel does not meet the standards of other Kempinskis. My family and I travel a lot, like A LOT, and we've been to many Kempinski hotels. The problems started with our booking, which we made directly through the hotels' website (not a 3rd party). The booking states a 12:00 check in, but the hotel told us this was a mistake and their check in time is 2:00 pm. They allowed us to check in at noon without a fee, but it took series of emails in advance. We also booked the breakfast meal package through the website. On our first morning in the breakfast lounge, we were told we didn't get breakfast because we didn't have the meal package. Once again, I had to pull out my reservation receipt and prove (in front of other guests) that we had paid for the breakfast. They of course accepted the receipt and realized they made an error, but it was another hassle we shouldn't have had to deal with. The day before our departure, we requested the hotel have a cab ready for us to catch our early flight (we needed to leave the hotel around 3:30 am). The young man behind the desk indicated he would do so and that we could expect a 100,000 tugrik (about 29.00 USD) flat rate for the taxi ride (this is also what we paid to get to the hotel). After spending the day on the town, buying souvenirs, and spending our local currency (but saving taxi money), we returned to the hotel. I double checked with a different guy at the desk that we would have a taxi waiting for us. Afterall, as the evening Front Desk Receptionist, it would be his job to call the taxi company. It was good I double checked, because the other guy hadn't taken action and hadn't passed along the request. Moreover, when the taxi arrived in the wee hours of the morning, we were told by the Front Desk Receptionist that it was actually a 200,000 tugrik charge (double!). We were also told the first ”receptionist” we had spoken to earlier in the day was actually a Bell Hop and we were informed that he wasn't even supposed to be working behind the counter. As a result, we had no choice but to withdraw additional local currency (taxi couldn't take a card) from the hotel Front Desk (for a nice fee) in order to pay the taxi. What's particularly irksome is that we had plenty of cash which we would have saved if we had simply been told the correct amount. There were other issues, but this review is already lengthy... Overall, we had a less than stellar experience at this Kempinski. If you're going to Ulaanbaatar, I'd recommend you stay elsewhere. If we ever go back we'll probably stay at the Shangri-la. It's closer to the airport as well as the heart of the city.

Excellent location in that it was near a lot of restaurants and stores. The rooms and bathroom were very clean! Shower stalls were very spacious! Owners were very kind and nice! I like how they serve us breakfast every morning. I also like how they had a kitchen for me to use if I had to cook my own food! Lot of tourist brochures to look at for someone who is interested in taking a city tour of Ulan Bator. They also had a treadmill to exercise, tv to watch, and a guitar to play, chairs and couches to sit if a guest needed it to. Will be more than happy to stay at this hotel again if I ever comeback to Ulan Bator!

Staffs are very helpful and friendly especially Ulzii and Ganuu who help us in checking in. Room is nice and clean. Foods are good. Excellent hotel, I have been here a few times and will definitely come back in the future.
