How lucky we were to find a vacancy in the Cottage at Hillcrest. Nestled in the foothills of magical Wollumbin, the great Mt Warning, this cosy retreat gave us wonderful opportunity to welcome in the cooling weather of Autumn with a fireplace blazing and a perfect view of the mountain — and the rolling rain, cloud and fog — from the comfort of our double spa. If we were any more relaxed, we'd be treacle! Our hosts, Craig and Paul, were beyond welcoming. They entertained us and fed us delicious meals, then allowed us to plunder their stocks of farm eggs and home-made jam and marmalade — lime and vanilla... yum! Some friendly Labradors gave the place a very homey feel. We can't wait to come back.

Our stay was beyond expectations - the cottage (spacious, comfortable, private, comfy bed), the food (both dinner and breakfast high quality in a beautiful ambiance outside), the pool, views, etc etc. Paul and Craig are lovely and fun. We just had a great time. Oh.....book a complementary massage - highly recommendable by a special and intuitive lady. Never before have we experienced such a good and effective massage. Just go to Hillcrest 😁.

Great place to stay and just unwind and or visit places in the area. Hosts Craig and Paul were the best. The food was excellent, room very comfortable. Craig and Paul pointed out good places to visit and made our stay a wonderful one. Looking forward to being able to go back again.

Paul&Greg are the best hosts you could wish for. The accomodation has the loveliest view and the best breakfast! You have to stay there!!! It feels like staying at the House of friends. The library Room and the fireplace seating area are a lovely place to stay in Fall and Winter. Everything was also very clean and tidy.

Such a warm welcome by the 2 guys running the b&b. Lots of humour, Paul’s delicious food, beautiful views, a friendly and cosy evironment made this one of our favourite places in the area. Everything is super to summarize it rodney the roaster and the 7 labs add to the family feeling and do not at all disturb the guests!

We had the best stay. Paul & Craig are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. Paul is a great Chef and we recommend paying extra for Dinner it was amazing. Breakfast were superb. The location of the property is special so quiet and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble. Next stay will be for 2 or more nights and can highly recommend a stay here

From the moment you arrive a sense of tranquility comes over you. Paul and Craig are the most wonderful hosts and greet you with a true warmth. The location and views are breathtaking. You can do as much or as little as you want. Great bush walking country all around. But curling up on the daybed out side your room or in the pergola is the best thing…that is until dinner is served!!! Paul provides a fantastic selection for your 2 or 3 course meal. We had dinner both nights we were there and it was amazing. Craig provided simply outstanding service. It’s dog friendly and has an incredibly large dog run. Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat has it all. Don’t think twice - book it now, you won’t be disappointed.

A return trip to this magical location for us, to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. Unfortunately we couldn’t get there for our first night due to flooding but made the most of our one day. It’s a photographers paradise, so lush and green. Our room was extremely comfortable with everything we needed. Paul cooked up a storm for our three course meal. Delicious food! Breakfast was also so tasty. Thanks to Paul and Craig for a memorable stay. We’ll be back

Lovely part of the country. Beautiful views. Craig and Paul are very friendly and accommodating hosts. Paul culinary skills are above and beyond. Amazing meals and good amount to choose from. Very clean room, comfy bed, cosy library and nice pool in amazing surroundings. Highly recommend this B & B. Thanks for your amazing hospitality.
