The hotel itself was lovely—the room, evening meal, and breakfast were all excellent. However, the customer service received by the owner left a lot to be desired. When we checked in, I wasn’t sure we had the room we booked, so I called down to check. The response was dismissive, defensive, and after some back-and-forth, I was offered a different room but declined based on the attitude I’d already received. Throughout our stay, small things added up—other guests receiving extras we didn’t, being seated after later arrivals, and not being shown to our breakfast table. The atmosphere felt a bit off, and simple requests were met with unnecessary awkwardness. When we settled the bill, we weren’t even asked about our stay—just awkward silence, which summed up the service overall. A real shame, as everything else was great.
