I like this hotel because walking distance to metro station. So going to & from Airport is just a metro train ride. There's no need to take the Taxi. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Clean hotel & facilities with friendly staffs. The breakfast start at 8:30am which is very late. I missed the breakfast because my day tour start at 8am. Probably can consider to start the breakfast at 7am instead. Food choice wise & seating area is pretty limited.

We came back from Hemu , Xinjiang . This was the 3rd times we stayed here in two weeks. The location is perfect as near metro and the guards , staffs and reception are so friendly. Free drinking water and tea are available. The hotel is nice , clean and great . The room and bed are so clean and the breakfast is great too,

There are several hotels with the name "Home Inn", in fact, a taxi took me to the wrong hotel. You need to specify that it's by the Metro station Xiaoxigou!
I was coming from Jiayuguan on a hard sleeper and did not have a good night. I arrived to Ürumqi at 0700 and was at the hotel at 0830. The staff checked me in and gave me a room at that time! A much needed relief. The lobby has free water, tea and candies. The room was smaller than others but comfortable. And they have a laundry with no charge. Breakfast was included and it was very good.

This hotel is very close to a metro stop. If you have a layover for less than a day in Urumqi, you may well be able to reach this hotel if you arrive before the metro closes, take the metro to the Grand Bazaar the next morning, then return for your luggage before heading back to the airport. Note that Urumqi airport doesn't store luggage for long layovers; you have to get all of your checked luggage when you arrive and then re-check it the next day (etc.) when you leave. The tight security in many parts of the city is a bummer and affects even registration of foreigners in hotels; hopefully the situation will improve.
