"The location and hotel environment are great, and it feels very safe with card access required for the elevators. There are many helpful staff members at check-in. The room itself was also good and spacious. However, on the second night, starting around 4:30 AM, a group of people from Xinjiang in the adjacent room were chattering loudly, making it impossible to sleep. Even after calling hotel reception, the noise continued until almost 6 AM when they finally left. It was truly frustrating."

"My friend and I stayed at the Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel during a layover in Urumqi, and it was the perfect choice for a short stay near the airport. The location is extremely convenient - just ~15 minutes away from the terminal, which made our transit hassle-free. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a great advantage.
Though the hotel could use minor renovations, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. The room had all the essentials: slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a comb, a hairdryer, an electric kettle, cups, and bottled water. The Wi-Fi worked well, which was important for us to plan our day trip and order a taxi.
One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options. Even if you're not yet accustomed to Chinese cuisine, you can find simple choices like boiled eggs and mantou (steamed buns).
For sightseeing, the city center and main attractions (such as the Xinjiang Museum, Red Hill Park, the Grand Bazaar, and the mosque) are about 30 minutes away by taxi. We managed to explore all of them in a day. Nearby, there are also local markets, convenience stores, and small cafés for snacks and essentials.
Overall, if you need a comfortable, budget-friendly hotel close to Urumqi Airport with good service and decent amenities, Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel is a great option. Highly recommended for transit travelers!"

"Environment: The hotel is just like the pictures I saw when booking on Ctrip, clean and tidy, very satisfactory. There is free airport pick-up near the airport! It was 9pm when we arrived, but the sun was still scorching. Urumqi was 37 degrees hot in those two days, and the ultraviolet rays were very high. When we got off the plane, we contacted the airport. The new passenger terminal in Urumqi is good. It is easy to find and reach the fourth floor of P2. And there is a barbecue restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. The rack meat is delicious! There is also a 24-hour unmanned convenience store on the first floor, which is convenient for purchasing!
Facilities: The only regret is that the hot water is not hot at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night, but warm and cool.
The rooms are very good, with good shading and sound insulation, and the air conditioning is also very good!
Service: The breakfast is good. Although the variety is a bit small, it will be replenished from time to time.
Hygiene: Very clean and tidy, and there is no peculiar smell! Photos left when leaving."

"This hotel truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the front desk lady was incredibly friendly and helpful. Check-in was super quick, and she even asked if I wanted a quiet room. Such thoughtful attention to detail!
The room was also a pleasant surprise! It was spotlessly clean, with no odors at all. The bedding was soft as a cloud, and I slept soundly. The view from the window was great; opening the curtains revealed the street view. Waking up in the morning to the sunlight lifted my mood.
The location was also very convenient, just a ten-minute walk from my destination. There were also many small restaurants nearby, making it super convenient for strolling around.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area!"

"Facilities: A very new hotel, with a decoration feel, quite heavy.
Service: Upgraded to Loft room, which is commendable, but the big curtains in the room were not closed tightly, with a big gap, and the lights of passing cars were all over at night. Fortunately, the flight was early, otherwise I would not be able to sleep at dawn.
Hygiene: Very good, with TV and toilet upstairs and downstairs.

"This was an excellent stay! The hotel's location is superb, very convenient for transportation, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Cleanliness: Impeccably clean. The wallpaper next to the bed was spotless, without any marks.
Location: Super convenient location. It's right next to CCmall, with plenty of dining options nearby. Hongshan Market and other points of interest are all within easy reach.
Service: The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The washing machine and dryer were incredibly convenient. And the guy at the front desk was quite handsome!

MMIAO13****I seldom write hotel reviews, but I was genuinely thrilled with the hotel I booked for this trip. The location is unbeatable – Wanda Plaza is right downstairs, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. What truly impressed me, however, was the service, which was beyond amazing. The housekeeper was exceptionally warm and friendly. Knowing my family drinks a lot of water, she went above and beyond by leaving an entire pack of bottled water for us – a thoughtful gesture I've never experienced at any other hotel. Many, many thanks to everyone!

Great hotel, premium room, good amenities, comfortable bed with very good bed linen. The staff at reception are very friendly and helpful! The toilet is a smart toilet with a bidet.
Negatives:
Hygiene needs to be reevaluated as the floors were actually very dirty. The shower also has orange mould where clients must stand to shower (the hotel can invest in a high pressure steam cleaner to clean it regularly). While the bed sheets are premium, the duvet is too hot for summer (consider having summer down blankets as an option).

YYakThis is an excellent hotel located in the coty centre close to many nice restaurants of various types of food to cater for the travellers of different nationalities. Very courteous, friendly and helpful staff especially those young and friendly ladies at the Front desk. Free pick up service was provided and need to be pre arranged prior to arrival. The hotel is also equipped with laundry room and gym for its hotel guests to use at no cost. The rooms are very clean come with big TV, full toiletries, kettle. Air dryer. Breakfast is good and healthy with plenty grains. |Really enjoy my stay here.

GGuest UserI did not have the best stay at this hostel, but it could have been due to unique circumstances.
When i arrived in the middle of the night, the owner(or senior staff idk) was drinking and smoking with his friends in the commons. Whilst I was checking in with another staff member, they discussed among themselves where I could be from based on my appearance. As a young woman traveling alone, I found this moment quite unpleasant.
I had booked the 4 people's dorm. They happened to be no other guests in the dorm that night. It was nice to have the room for myself. However, the room had not been cleaned up. My bed had been made, but on the trash was some trash and laying around. The previous guests had also smoked in the room. They had left their sigarettes floating in a noodle pot and the room stinking. I asked for another room. The tipsy owner first denied the room smelled, till we stood in front of the floating sigarettes. There was no other room available, so i slept there.
By morning, the commons looked like a different hotel. There was a friendly and professional lady at the desk who checked me out. She also kept my luggage for the day, which was very convenient.
For anyone who has never been in Urumuqi before, this is not the city center. The hotel is located in a tower close to Ulumuqi train station. It's convenient if you're hoping on or off the train, but you'll need a taxi to get you to part of the city worth visiting.
Overall, I had a terrible experience, but it's probably not how most travellers would experience this hostel. And, it's quite cheap.

PPanxuanThe front desk sent me a text message asking for a review. It's hard to put into words... First, I'm not sure if the main lobby is shared with Hanting (the restaurant definitely is), but it was messy and unkempt. As for the room, just look at the pictures I posted – it was genuinely dirty, messy, and in poor condition. The walls had dirt marks, peeling paint, and damaged sections. The elevator was also dirty and cluttered. I expected a basic standard from an international chain, but that certainly wasn't my experience. I hope the Holiday Inn group strengthens its brand management. On the positive side, parking is free with an underground garage, and the front desk staff were kind and provided good service.

RREGINA JIA LING CHOOWe stayed there for 3 nights. If we knew the hotel is so old and lacking maintenance, we would have chosen somewhere else.
1. The room is old, dark and dull. The window got cracks. The air-con is not cold. The toilet design not very private, even if you close the toilet door, it still can see through. The room feels dusty, perhaps because of dusty windows.
2. We asked the hotel to recommend a tour to Tianshan Tianchi. The recommended tour agent on Weixin/wechat was bad. He falsely sold Tianshan Tianchi tour to us, the tour was not according to what we agreed, and no responsibility whatsoever. We left hotel at 7.30am, the tour wasted a lot of our time before reaching the lake at 13.00pm, leaving us not enough time at the lake. We understand this is not directly hotel’s fault, but we request the hotel to stop doing business with this tour agent.
3. After we checked out, our next hotel in Kashgar couldn’t check us in because the staff at this hotel didn’t check us out from the government system, causing hassles.
Good things were the laundry room, which is convenient, and the location which is near to a lot of food, small shopping mall, and walking to Metro station. The hotel breakfast was delicious. The staff at the breakfast was good.

GGuest UserHostel is about 5 - 7 minutes away from the ”Sports Centre” metro station, which is about 25+ minutes from the airport.
The hostel entrance is next to the Tesla shop, and you have to press the buzzer, for the security guard to open the gate for you.
Then, after writing your name down in the guest-book, you go up to the 10th floor in the lift.

The staff speak little to no English, but they are very helpful.
They will try to solve your issues, as long as you patient with the translation software.
Also, it is difficult for staff to check you in, if you do not have a contact number or Alipay/Wechat contact.
(This is a CN Govt requirement)
The dorm rooms are basic and you may get the city views.
There are no privacy curtains and there was no air-con, in my one.
The hostel staff can provide fans, but we did not need any, as it was still cool at night.
The beds are OK.
There is a bathroom in the dorm room too, but there was almost no privacy for the bathroom, as there was a gap between the door for others to see and you can see through the frosted glass into the bathroom too!
The hostel is relatively clean, quiet and well-located,
except there may be other local guests, who are loud and smoke sometimes in the other rooms.
Next to the hostel is a nice up-market shopping centre and with really lots to eat, in the food-court on the 3rd floor.
