We stayed here for 1 night before an Antarctic cruise. Ushuaia is very small so you can walk to anywhere. The hotel is opposite the port so very handy for this. There is also a taxi rank across the road and we got a taxi to the End of the World train and had a nice ride on there. Would recommend the hotel for a short break.

After travelling for nearly two days flatout without much sleep at all, we were really looking forward to a comfy bed and a good kip, which is exactly what we got when we managed to get the room to a normal temperature as both radiators in the room and bathroom were on full whack and with it being a smll basement room it held the hart really well. All good after 10 mins with windows wide open, and radiators off. We booked through an agent that we had used for our Antarctic Cruise, and although we stipulated a double bed with possibly a good view the agent did not pass on this information and so we ended up in twins in a basement room (no fault of the hotel directly). Unfortunately the staff had no other rooms available to move us into, but said they could look into it for our second (and last) night,but we didn't want the hassle of having to pack again and move everything when we were heading out early the next morning, so we kindly declined. The breakfast was included in our rate, with plenty of mainly cold foods (although some small pieces of warm hotdogs and eggs). Breakfast was on the fourth floor, and the views were spectacular (see photos). We could see the ship from the window (that was supposed to be taking us to Antarctica - separate review to follow but please beware of more recent reviews of Ocean Victory if you are thinking of booking). Next door to the breckfast room was a coffee machine and pastries available to guests anytime, which was a lovely touch. The reception didn't make us aware of this, but my partner had spotted this on someone else's review fortunately. Again, the views while you are having a coffee are amazing. Stupidly forgot to pack out converters, but reception were kind enough to borrow us one for our stay. Location is ideal, everything in Ushuaia seemed easy to stroll to, it's only a few mins to the main shopping street, and only 5 mins walk to the port. Would highly recommend this place, but ask for a view because that is a massive key feature to this lovely little place.

Fiz a reserva nesse hotel para 5 noites através de uma agência e avisei que estava indo com minha mãe de 80 anos e queriamos um quarto simples porém confortável. Chegamos no hotel vindo de El Calafate bem cansadas, mas assim que fizemos checkin notamos que fechadura da porta estava ruim e acionamos a manutenção que foi consertá-la. Deixamos as malas no quarto e fomos almocar. Assim que voltamos e reparamos melhor no quarto, vimos que a maçanete era o menor dos problemas. O quarto era um verdadeiro show de horrores. Os dois cobertores tinham diversos pêlos e fios de cabelo e o chão estava imundo (foto anexas) . A cama menor rangia alto e havia barulho das portas velhas dos quartos vizinhos e do encanamento velho que passava no teto de madeira (foto das marcas de água quente). Liguei para recepção na hora, pois havia notado que estávamos no corredor dos quartos velhos do hotel e havia um corredor adjacente com portas mais novas e mais iluminado. A pessoa que me atendeu disse que o gerente não autorizava a troca pois esse ”era o quarto que eu havia contratado”. Pedi para me tirarem dali porque precisavamos dormir e que pagaria pelo novo quarto de tão insuportável era ficar no quarto que nos deram. Depois de muita insistência me cederam o novo quarto para apenas 3 noites e fiz toda mudança sozinha tarde da noite exausta. No dia seguinte reclamei com a agência, inclusive fiz videos, e nos deram as 5 noites sem cobrar. Desculpas? Explicação da gerência? nenhuma até hoje. Diante dos fatos, para ninguém passar por isso, sugiro confirmarem se a reserva é na parte suja e barulhenta do hotel ou se na parte bem cuidada, pois parece que se trata de dois hoteis.
