Hotel berhampiran Pop-up Gaard, Utrecht

Nice hotel, decent rates, good bathroom, but really just lacking in information. First off, the hotel is in a mall, and there’s no indication of which doors are open after the mall closes and which aren’t. Google Maps is unaware of that, so if you’re relying on that or a similar service to get you back to the hotel, be aware that will not work, and employees will not provide you with useful information about this unless you ask. For the record, I eventually managed to enter via Catharinje Esplanade. Second, maybe it’s because I visited on a holiday, but there was no front desk or room service late at night, which would be totally fine IF that communication were provided. But there was no indication whatsoever that the supposedly 24 hour room service was not actually 24 hours. Again, certainly don’t begrudge employees a night off. But *management* needs to do a much better job communicating what services are or are not available and when. Don’t promise something your employees can’t deliver. If management would just set realistic expectations and provide a little more useful information, this would be a nice hotel.

This hotel is in a fabulous location and backs right up to old town Utrecht. The staff don't seem overly friendly and in fact, I think we only received a smile 3 times in the week that we were there. The rooms are big, and the welcome note was appreciated, even if addressed to my husband who wasn't traveling with me and had nothing to do with this reservation! Breakfast is fantastic with a huge selection to satisfy every dietary requirement and while expensive, felt like a reasonable price for everything that was available. The grounds are beautiful and seeking shade one afternoon we tried to sit at a table under umbrellas outside the dining area. We were quickly moved away from that area by a very brusque member of staff and told to try in the garden area. The staff in the garden/bistro area subsequently told us we couldn't sit there if we weren't going to order anything. I think if the staff had felt more friendly, then I would have felt more inclined to give a higher rating. However, this doesn't detract from the fact that the hotel is very clean and well maintained, the rooms feel spacious and well-appointed although the bathrooms feel a little dated. There is a very small pool area and gym but we never got the chance to utilize either space. Proximity to the beautiful city of Utrecht really can't be beaten, and it did feel special to stay somewhere with such history and I left a little bit of my heart in Utrecht. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel and would absolutely return to stay at this fabulous location.

A very warm welcome from reception staff put us in a good mood to enjoy our stay and the welcome card we found in our room was a nice touch. The room was spacious, quiet and bright with a very comfy bed with interesting/fun/quirky decor. The location was very convenient for the centre of Utrecht. Breakfast was very good, and there are a number of cafes nearby if you want to explore alternatives. We loved staying here, and a comfy chair in the room would have been the 'icing on the cake'

The only reason I selected this was the convenience, bed for the night and food in the morning. I knew Moxy is pretty basic and will match my needs. One thing I loved about this place was the convenience. The train station is right across the road. You just have to run across and hop in. Sorted. The room was clean. Amenities were basic but sufficient. The basic cloth wall did the job and the table was enough to keep my laptop on. Bed was comfortable and spacious. I definitely liked the breakfast. Variety of choice and they had a Bloody Mary corner! what a treat after a night out. Staff was helpful. Seating area was spacious. If you're looking at a stay that runs for more than a night, I'm not sure this is the place. It's sort of a place for people to rush in and out. I would definitely select Moxy when I have to run in for a roof over my head, bed to sleep on and a full belly for the road next day.

Mooie, grote en luxe lodges. Leuk ingericht, apart woon- en slaapgedeelte, fijne regendouche en apart toilet. Het bed sliep ook heerlijk (boxspring). Enige minpuntje was de gastvrijheid, het is ook maar een kleinschalig hotel (10 kamers). De 'receptie' bevindt zich in het restaurant, je krijgt een pasje overhandigd en that's it. Geen info over diner, uitchecktijden, gebruiksaanwijzing apparatuur enz. De chromecast op de tv kreeg ik niet aan de praat, dus heb ik maar netflix op de laptop gekeken. Zonde...

Een superiour kamer geboekt voor een nacht inclusief ontbijt. Pluspunten: - grote douche - heerlijk (groot bed) - ontzettend goede verduisterende gordijnen - grote minibar/ koelkastje - vriendelijke ontvangst - over het algemeen een nette / schone kamer Minpunten: - klein balkon zonder meubilair (je betaalt extra voor het balkon, maar je kunt er eigenlijk geen gebruik van maken...) - slecht en traag werkende tv - kitranden douche vergeeld - ontbijt standaard - geen activiteiten in het hotel (bijv tafeltennis, biljart, darten etc). Voor €124 geen goede prijs / kwaliteit verhouding en we zouden dit hotel daarom geen t****e keer boeken.

It's a hotel, like a small resort. It's nice to get a car and drive around. The hotel has a special ventilation unit l on the window so as kind of thoughtful. the breakfast is okay.

Great Hilton near Amersfoort. Rooms are great and with some excellent views over the Golf Course (from your Balcony 😎) Rooms are spacious and have a modern decor. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is good (apart from the Scrambled egg which is a bit hard/over-cooked 😕) and the Restaurant has a nice chilled feeling, so a great way to start the morning. The staff are really helpful (I forgot my Adapter and they found one for me 👍). The hotel is a bit out of the way, so you'll really need a car, but it's seclusion is what makes it so good 👍

Prima hotel. Landgoed is erg groot en het is eerst even zoeken waar je moet zijn voor de hotel receptie. Eenmaal ingecheckt, kan je met je auto naast het hotel gedeelte midden in de natuur parkeren. Kamers zijn basic, maar netjes en van deze tijd. Prima douche. Fijn zijn de grote ramen met uitzicht op het bos of park, waardoor je je echt een voelt met de natuur. Ontbijt was meer dan prima. Lekker vers en grote keus.
