The room it self was great and the views and location is also great. The only bad thing was the gym and one of the staff in the breakfast area. Im not gonna mention her name but she really liked bossing around and shush people :)

This was our first trip to Vancouver where we stayed at the Fairmont Pacific Rim for 10 days. When checking in, we were given, without asking, an upgrade to a room on the 17th floor with a harbour view and were given 2 generous drinks tickets. The room and bathroom were beautiful. We were greeted with chocolate, fruit and fresh & sparkling water. The beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent. We ate breakfast at the Botanist daily which was superb...Deepak was warm and spoke to us each day. All of the service staff were so friendly and efficient...special thank you to Camille, but all went above and beyond. We tried to eat dinner at the Botanist but it was closed. We really enjoyed the Lounge, staff, raw bar, and music. The modern vibe appealed to even retirees such as us! Fabulous design and art. The room and hotel were spotless. The Concierges were all excellent...I would like to especially mention Sheron & James. We really loved being able to use the hotel Mercedes, which was offered without our asking! I had a recent shoulder injury, so had to pass on the very cool bikes...next time! The pool and hot tub were wonderful after a long day of pounding the pavement. The various hotel managers were all very helpful and friendly. Lastly, we really appreciated the cars to and from the airport that the hotel arranged...the drivers were wonderful and made our arrival & departure stress free. We will definitely come back to Vancouver and will stay at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. Every day when we returned from a long day of being a tourist we said, ”We're home!!” as we were greeted by the wonderful hotel doormen. Since Vancouver is a city, we were very surprised by how friendly everyone was in general and the hotel in particular. The hotel obviously has very good management.

Super good location and good service and good staff and good food

The hotel is located in a very nice location, we got a great view from our room. We were not very happy with the service though, as we arrived at the hotel, we weren’t greeted even though there were 3 people working at the valet nobody directed us where to park. I made eye contact with them but they just continued on chatting. Parking is also quite expensive ($45/ night for self-parking).

Paradox has so far been the best hospitality and service experience we've had in years. Right from reception, room service to valet. They're friendly, extremely helpful, there are details that you'd never think of heated floors in the bathroom, filtered floral air in the washroom. Right in the middle of downtown, everything is within walking distance, the rooms are absolutely an oasis in the middle of a metropolis. Stay here!

I had a wonderful experience at this Hotel. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to cleaning staff was delightful and eager to help! This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway. The downtown area on Main Street is a best-kept secret and the offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out. Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues!

Great hotel. Big rooms, and comfortable bed. Also enjoyed a quick drink and snack in the restaurant. Right across the street from Canada Place and a quick walk to downtown or Gastown. Only issue was that check-in took 30 minutes, and check-out took 15 mins. Lines for both. Also, WiFi was free but had to find the code they gave us to activate it. Otherwise, there was only paid access to WiFi. Still, we would return!

Stayed for three nights in August and we loved this place. A perfect location between town and the waterfront with everything in walking distance. The room had a wonderful view over the square and both bathroom and bed were fabulous (and I am super-fussy!!). Housekeeping was great as was the Concierge who got us into some great walkable restaurants. A really fabulous option.

Check In Arrived at 10 NOT expecting to be given a room as we knew that the check in time was 4pm. The reception staff were very hopeful that the room would be ready quickly and we would be phoned when it was. They said our room had been prioritised. So we went off for a walk. 1230 pm- no phone, no room. Room finally given at 330. Bags of rubbish were sitting in front of the room in the corridor! Considering that checkout was 12 noon, it is taking the room service an incredibly long time to do up the room. Room Very spacious but very dated. Wall paper peeling off in some areas. Cleanliness was average. Beds comfortable. Location Absolutely fantastic. Heart of downtown- next to Robson street. Summary Great potential. Let down by the housekeeping and the dated decor. Not value for money (I paid nearly £450 per night)!

The service at the front desk was excellent, they provided us with all the information we needed for our stay. The view from the room was excellent as we were placed on a high floor and had an amazing view of downtown Vancouver. The furniture in the room was a little outdated, and the water pressure in the shower was a little weak. The location of the hotel was great as it was in a very central area of the city. Overall, our stay was a good one.
