Apart from the rooms being clean and tidy, the position is fantastic and is basically right on the Ganga river, you walk down to the Ghats (choice of 2 direct access points) in 2 minutes! Perfect for doing a sunrise or sunset Ganga Ceremony boat experience. The rooftop bar/restaurant is fantastic! You can't beat the panoramic views of the Ganga from here. With a cold drink in hand late in the cooler afternoon with the view is perfection! The staff are excellent, you can ask for any kind of assistance, like organise a guide (I recommend Lalit - ask for him!), any information, transfers etc and they are more than happy to help or organise it for you. Yes, you have to walk a little way from the main roads where you get out of your car, but you're in Varanasi - you should be expecting this!! But if you make contact with the staff before hand they can organise your entire transfer from the train or plain and porters will meet you at the car to not only take your bags but guide you the way there.

The hotel is very good. If plan to visit Banaras next time, will definitely stay in the same hotel. Services are good and rooms are hygienic. Staff too is cooperative and polite. The hotel is situated in the heart of the city and is approachable to all places within the city.

Our stay at Hotel Varuna was undoubtedly the highlight of our visit to Varanasi. The hospitality was impeccable, and the food was a delightful mix of flavors that we eagerly anticipated at each meal. The Elena Hotel (Dwivedi Palace on Steps) is marvelously located on the Rana Mahal ghat. The view is awesome from the river-facing rooms. Five stars to the STAFF JUST AWSM . They are so helping and courteous. Location is great with a breathtaking view from our room . Food - the taste was amazing just felt like home just need to improve in variety in breakfast . Mr Manoj a very pleasing personality. Pramod was also very humble in showing us and helping us in exploring . Everyone is with a smiling face

Paid 200 rps to watch the evening Aarti from their roof top, which looked to be the highest one there. You certainly get a Birds Eye view of the ceremony, the crowd and all the boats that pull in with more spectators. I didn’t eat or stay here so cannot comment on that although the restaurant (divine Ganga restaurant) also has a great view of the Ganges and Ghats.

It is a very good budget hotel near the Temple and Dasaswamedh Ghat. The staff are very helpful and we found them always with a smile. Clean rooms and bathrooms. The bed linens were clean. No restaurant though. The location is a big plus with lot of eateries nearby. The hotel arranged for a vehicle for the local sightseeing at a very reasonable rate.

Extremely comfortable rooms for the price. Heaven for those seeking the actual Varanasi experience. Right next to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and about a 100 or so meters from the Ganga, while being about 200 meters from the main road, ensuring one doesn’t lose out on the main road’s connectivity by staying in the old city, thereby making it an ideal spot. Hygiene is a priority for the institution, ensured by regular cleaning. Add to that Super friendly staff, and you have a near-perfect hotel. In-house beverage options were an unexpected delight. Tons of coffee options made my stay all the more pleasant. This hotel is an overall package, one I’d go as far as to say is the best.
