Upon arrival was told our 2 bedroom suite was unavailable due to renovations but the front desk attendant was very accommodating and quickly got us into 2 separate rooms of equivalent bed space. Overall loved the cleanliness, and quiet of the building and halls itself. Next time we will look to stay definitely stay longer than 1 night- we will be back before summer is over! Thanks again to the wonderful staff here--you guys are all great.

Very nice stay! Free breakfast and the room is very clean. They also upgraded my room for free. Definitely will come back next time!

The hotel had all that we needed including toiletries, coffee, and lots of extra towels. The room had a little bit of a musty smell, coming from the carpets on the floor. But overall the room was cleaned well. We stayed on a Saturday night, so parking was a little difficult to find because the lot was mostly full. The location of the hotel was amazing, it was close to many restaurants and the highway.

I’m appalled! Im a member of Marriott, so I chose to stay in this hotel every single time when I was in the area. Lately my experience with this hotel has been terrible! Last time they charged me $250 because someone reported my dog attacked a kid! They didn’t even investigate it until I called 6 times!(the girl worked at the front desk told me the manager will be there in 1-2 hours so I left my number. A few hours later I called to ask, I called the wrong number so it went to booking department, I explained what happened and asked to be transferred to front desk girl, because she is the one charged me $250. And guess what! Instead of talking to me, she made the booking department lady to tell me”She said that the manager will call you as soon as he’s back” I insisted on checking the security cameras and there were nobody got attacked!!! got my money back and their explanation was”someone too advantage of the hotel for a free night.”. So they made me pay for the night??? And I don’t even know why I stayed here again last night! I couldn’t believe my eyes ! What is going on with this duvet??!!!! I didn’t want to have any trouble with people when I’m traveling by myself so I only requested for another blanket, but it never came, so I spent a night without blanket. I was going to show the front desk these pics but my phone was dead and I was in rush to go to my appointment. Anyways I’m done with this hotel!

The room condition was terrible I had to move out aftery first stay. They had this moldy smell and the sheet and curtain was uncomfortable.

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the TownPlace Suites hotel in Markham, Ontario. We booked the room with our Bonvoy points, so I can’t comment on price. Markham is a suburb about 15 miles north of Toronto. We picked this location since it was near relatives we were visiting. It’s located on a fairly busy highway with various commercial businesses nearby. There is a Chinese restaurant (QJD Peking Duck), which we did not visit, on the first floor. The thirteen-story building actually holds two Marriott properties: Courtyard by Marriott on floors 2 - 8 and TownPlace on floors 9 - 14. The registration desk serves both hotels. The lobby has several areas for socializing. There also is a Bistro/Bar area. Conference rooms, a business center and a spa are off to the side. A fitness center and indoor pool are on the lower level. Wifi is free. Surprisingly, parking is not. Signs say that it costs $6 Canadian per day to park in the attached multi-level garage, but we apparently were not charged. Check-in was courteous and efficient. You need your keycard to access the elevator. TIP: There is no 13th floor; the elevator buttons go from 12 to 14! We were assigned room 915. TIP: the room was almost across the hall from the ice machine and one wall of the room directly abutted the elevator bank. While the noise was neglible, you might want to keep this in mind if you’re a very light sleeper. The room was clean and decorated in what I would call ikea style. It was like living in a studio apartment. A flat screen TV was on a two-drawer chest/dresser. A wall-mounted desk had overhead shelving, a vertical cupboard, desk chair and rollout table. The kitchen section had a sink, two-burner electric range top, coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher (!) and fairly large refrigerator. There were multiple cabinets and drawers filled with practically every kitchen item you’d need: pots, pans, dishes, flatware, soap, etc. And if they’re still something you might need, chances are you can get it from the front desk. (See pic.) A full-size closet contained an iron/ironing board. No sign of a safe. The sitting area contained a loveseat, ottoman and floor lamp. The king-size bed had five pillows. The bed was a little soft, but comfortable. It was flanked by nightstands and wall-mounted lamps with electric outlets. 
The bathroom was average-sized. The vanity had lots of counter space and several drawers. And a hair dryer. The shower was quite large, taking up about a third of the room. There was wall-mounted hand soap and hair/body wash (in the shower) by ALICE & Co+ botanicals. Shower pressure and temperature were fine. TIP: Don’t be alarmed when you flush the toilet - the sound is comparable to that generated by an airplane commode. Breakfast was included with the room and was served on the 14th floor. I chose this hotel since the price was very competitive for the area, especially compared to hotels in Toronto. It is a new hotel and check-in and check-out were both very good. Breakfast was pretty good with a variety of options to choose from. The bed was comfortable and the room contained everything I needed. The hotel is located immediately adjacent to Highway 7 which is a busy highway. I learned upon checkout that rooms with a King sized bed face the highway and rooms with 2 Queen beds are at the back of the building and have less road noise. The hotel is ordering some white noise machines to see if they will reduce the road noise in the rooms facing the highway. I was really impressed by the commitment to improve their service to people staying at the hotel. I will definitely be back if I am staying in the area and will request a room at the back of the hotel.

The hotel is very nice and clean. If travel to Markham, I would stay in this hotel again.
