Wir haben hier kurzentschlossen über Air BnB während unseres Italien-Urlaubs eingecheckt. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral, in ruhiger Lage ganz in der Nähe des Bahnhofs. Frisch renoviert ist dennoch der venezianische Stil unverkennbar und durch Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank & WLAN technisch trotzdem alles alles auf dem neusten Stand. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und in der Gegend gibt es sowohl einheimische Restaurants, als auch einen Supermarkt. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Einzige Verbesserungsvorschläge: bei dem Frühstück wären Brötchen schön gewesen und der Kühlschrank war zu warm eingestellt. Aber das sind Kleinigkeiten. Bei unserer nächsten Übernachtung in der schönen Lagunen-Stadt kommen wir sicher wieder

We have just returned from a 2-night stay at this lovely hotel. It is well positioned for all the sights and there is a public water taxi stop next to the front of the hotel. The staff make all the difference. Valentino and another young man, whose name I didn’t get, were on reception for the 2 nights we were there. They didn’t stay behind the desk but came out and circulated and were engaging with all the customers, genuinely interested in what everyone had been doing. As front of house, they were outstanding. We had a side canal view. We paid a premium and being only 5’2” if I leant out, with my husband holding my ankles, I could see the Grand Canal. Not sure I would go for this option again. The room itself was small but very comfortable. We both slept very well. The only ****** was breakfast. I would like this to be self-service. On entering the breakfast room, we were advised that we had to have table service we were automatically given some bread rolls and croissants on the table. I like to have a look and then choose my own size portions, normally small. I observed that several people seemed to want to do self-service, but this wasn’t an option. A lot of rolls and croissants weren’t used as not everyone wanted them and I assume went to the bin. Also I just like to be left to do my own thing at breakfast. Table service for tea and coffee would be good. Unfortunately, this is something that would put me off using the hotel again. The only other small issue for me is the individual shampoo etc in the bathroom. I much prefer refillable dispensers which create far less plastic waste.

an excellent hotel with excellent service. We had 5 rooms reserved at the hotel. We left the hotel to go to Ravenna via the trains. We left our Apple air pods in of one the rooms. The gentleman from the front desk (morning shift - sorry I don’t remember his name) on his own walked over the train station, tracked us down and surprised us to give us the air pods. I travel a lot and have never seen such exceptional service. Literally, because of his level of exceptional service from when we checked in to now, we decided to change our hotels (when we return from the cruise) to stay again at The Carlton because of his above and beyond attitude. Thank you for your hospitality and outstanding experience from the point of when we first checked in.

We spent a night here on 9-10th Aug 2023 room # 213. We arrived at 11 AM. Left our baggage here and came back again at 14.00 for check in. Our room extremely quiet day and night as we requested for a quiet room away from lifts. It's only 5 minute walk from bus/train station, 15 minute walk to Rialto Bridge, 30 minute walk to Saint Mark's Square in San Marco. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around the hotel. It's also safe to walk around at night amd early morning even it's pretty dark. 24 hour Reception tho. All staff were friendly, attentive and polite. Room was a bit dated but tidy and clean. Good space for a couple. Everything in our room worked well. No complimentary bottled water, toothbrush, toothpaste so pls bring your own. I bought drinks, snacks and some stuff from Despar supermarket near train station with reasonably priced. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Venice. Highly recommended ☺️

Fabulous location,not too close to the crazyness of St Marks square during Carnival, but close to the railway station,water bus and bridge over the Grand Canal. staff extremely helpful, nothing too much trouble. lovely room, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room but there is a safe and a mini bar. Breakfast was very nice self service,good selection. will definitely be going again next year at the same time.

The hotel is conveniently located off the Grand Cana across from the train station. It is within walking distance to restraunts and shops. It is easy to take a water taxi, gondola or public water bus. The staff is friendly had helpful, offering suggestions for day trips and other excursions.
