We stayed here for 3 nights prior to cruise. Desk and concierge service were excellent. The room was beautiful, spacious and well maintained. Location is perfect, just 1-2 blocks from St Mark’s Square yet in a quiet canal side location. Daily breakfast buffet was very good.

If you like luxury this is the place for you. The Gritti is truly an amazing hotel. The rooms are beyond gorgeous. Super luxurious bathrooms and super comfortable beds. The A/C is so quite you can hardly hear it, even during the silence of the night. The rooms reflects beautiful Venetian décor. The toiletries are Aqua di Parma. The location is incredible and what we enjoyed the most was the two terraces they have right on the canal. This place is pricey but it is well worth if you appreciate luxury. Grazie mille to all of the hotel staff who make this place a truly special one.

Amazing location, central to all tourist sites and superb shopping all around, unbeatable in all ways. Rooms newly renovated so excellent in room facilities. Pricing was also very reasonable for location. Right beside some of the best views and regardless the room, I’m sure you’ll accept this is the best value hotel in the area. Only disappoin**ent was the bar. Ordered a drink for my wife and I, was charged triple what other exceptional bars outside would charge, the drink looked and tasted like to was made by a child. Quite disappointed with this. Also one needs to really be patient with staff, they seem to be more caught up with talking amongst themselves and their reaction to other guests reflect poor training. Rolling of eyes and other expressions are quite unprofessional. But they don’t ruin the stay, the can’t with such a beautiful location! Bell Boys very helpful and hardworking, maybe the rest of the team should learn from their colleagues. Anyway, I would recommend this hotel anytime to anyone!

Thought I’d write a review for this hotel as there aren’t many recent ones. After browsing for somewhere to stay, I thought this seemed like good value. It has a central location, really convenient and quiet. The staff are very lovely and helpful. The decor is very very dated - I wasn’t sure from photos if it was going to be genuinely dated or modern but looks dated and quirky, it’s definitely dated. My room was a good size, but this was a superior double rather than a standard. It had everything we needed and we aren’t too fussy about rooms as we never spend much time in there on holiday. However for some it may not live up to standards. I would call it basic but value for money. The “flat screen tv” description was a bit far fetched and the “mini bar” contained a minimal amount but again, we weren’t too bothered about this things but for some it may be a problem. The bedding was spotless and the room very clean. Our bed was remade again for us in the morning which is a lovely touch. The walls are thin and we could hear people turning over in beds and a child crying in another room but it didn’t affect us too much. Overall I would go back and stay there again as although basic, it had everything we needed. Oh We were also slightly disappointed the hotel didn’t have a bar. though

An older building that has been remodeled to fit 8 hotel rooms, 2 per floor. Unfortunately there is no elevator. There was cleaning service every day. Hot water was available 24/7. Our Room was super clean. 1 min walking distance from San Marco. The area was very safe to walk to your hotel at night.

Pretty and perfect location. Basic yet traditional 200yards from the main part and 75 yards from the shops. Facing Gucci Great staff Best part was taking advantage of the free private boat to Murano island which we shared with another couple. I asked for a room overlooking the canal and it was just beautiful.
