We had a delightful stay at Insika Lodge in Victoria Falls, a modern and comfortable retreat that opened in January 2023. The rooms were beautifully designed and spacious. The food was very good, with the highlight being the traditional African braai (BBQ) served on one of our three nights—a flavorful and memorable experience. The restaurant pricing was very reasonable. One area for improvement would be automatic refilling of bottled water in the room fridge, as this required a request but should be part of routine room service. The infinity pool was nice overlooking the surrounding woodland. Watching warthogs and their young grazing nearby and baboons on the area added to the charm. However, the pool’s early closing time was disappointing after long days exploring Victoria Falls. Extending the hours would enhance guest convenience. The staff were warm and eager to assist, though some were clearly new and gaining experience. Their friendliness compensated for minor hiccups. We appreciated the staff accommodating our late check-out request and that they offered to prepare an early breakfast for us on a day we were rafting the Zambezi and needed to leave before the restaurant opened. Something we greatly appreciated. A special mention goes to Macmillan, who arranged transport for us when the last shuttle into town (5 PM) had stopped—a service that could benefit from extended hours to provide an opportunity to experience fining dnd nightlife in Victoria Falls. Overall, Insika Lodge offers a fantastic blend of luxury, comfort, and attentive service. We highly recommend it for anyone visiting Victoria Falls!
