Hyatt Place Vijayawada

Check in process was smooth, ambience was great, they upgraded our room to bigger one, rooms were very clean and neat, corridors were too good with world class experience. Staff were very courteous, responsible and were accomodative to customer needs. Overall it was great place to stay.

Really slow service, unclean carpets and sheets in the room This property is bringing down the Hyatt brand Had to call them multiple times for towels (they provided one for a 2 pax room and then took away the second towel during housekeeping without replacing it), and for getting cutlery or food or water

This was my first stay at this hotel and had my doubts initially. I became happy to see it's convenient location. Found the staff helpful and well mannered. Reception team was waiting for us to arrange dinner as we arrived late night and kept the dinning open. Dinner was served while check-in was taken care of. Chef Mr. Sana was available till late hours to ensure hot food is served. Keep it up Hyatt Place.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place for approximately a week. We were able to check in early though I don’t believe we received an upgrade as discoverist. They also let us request late checkout. The best part of the hotel is definitely the restaurant - both for the food and the staff. The breakfast that was included in our rate was extensive and included many South Indian dishes in the buffet as well as western breakfast. They also had made to order food including a daily Indian dish like pooris as well as omelets, pancakes and waffles. We preferred the Indian dishes (idlis, pooris and bhatura) and didn’t partake in the western options. The servers and chefs were very helpful, particularly the female chef who helped us pick various dishes to try. We also did dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed the Club Sandwich and the Biriyani. Housekeeping was also very friendly and we found the laundry service easy to use. Though the hotel is new the rooms and linens are already showing wear and tear. The carpet in our room was dirty and we had a difficult time with finding sheets and towels without stains. This may be because they replace towels daily even if you hang them up which is giving extra wear to the towels. They should consider only washing discarded towels as we would’ve preferred to keep our towels for several days after finding stain free towels. Normally we would not request daily housekeeping but the security brochure in the room indicated they were required to see the room every 24 hours. There was also significant construction going on which we weren’t aware of prior to arrival. The pool and terrace on the sixth floor are closed - which wasn’t clear from the booking. The construction they are doing occurred at all hours including in the middle of the night. This could be easily heard in the floors below including the second floor. Because of the construction the fire alarm went off at least three times during the stay including as early as 5:30am. Overall the stay was fine but the construction made for disruptive sleep.
