Hotel berhampiran Rotunda dos Atuns, Vila Real de Santo António

Vila Real y Monte Gordo son dos destinos interesantes para practicar deporte (running, bicicleta, golf, etc.) y este Hotel reúne las características idóneas para ello. Localización cercana a las instalaciones deportivas, habitaciones preparadas para un buen descanso y un desayuno con opciones sanas, de calidad y adecuadas para deportistas.

Second time I’ve visited this hotel. It was clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Location is excellent with the beach a 10 min walk and the square a 5 min walk. There is also a spar 2 minutes away and lots of restaurants near by. On both occasions my room was spotless and there was a safe, free of charge which i thought was really good. The pool area was small but there were ample beds available due to the time of year. Sometimes I even had it to myself. Also very clean. Breakfast was simple but nice. A variety of cereals, breads, cheeses, meats and fruit. Then a small selection of hot food. (Eggs, beans and sausages). It’s definitely my go to hotel when I’m in Monte Gordo.

Hotel was very close to the beach with bars and shops within easy distance. A lovely decorated foyer area with good helpful staff. Room was adequate but not large. A small balcony overlooked the road and a side view to the beach. beds were good and the only down side was there were no hot drink making faciklities. It had 2 lifts, one of which was out of action for our stay, this wasnt really an isue as the hotel didnt seem that busy, nut could be a bigger problem when it was. Room was attended to and beds made every day. I thought the restaurant was lovely well set out and not to busy, although it was just out of season. The restaurant staff were probably the most attentive I have yet to see in a hotel. always smiling and removing used plates and utensils quickly. Breakfast was a good a great choice of prepared fresh and tinned fruits, a small choice of hot food, yogurts, pastries, cooked meats etc. Fruit juice, tea and coffee machines. Evening meal always had a soup, choice of fish and meat, along with selection of vegetables. a huge array of salad items and probably the best display of chilled deserts ive seen in most hotels. The only down side to the food was.. I never had any food that was actually hot, it all seemed just luke warm to me. The roof area was quiet and the pool not large, but adequate for a little dip. A bar was open on the roof if you required a drink. All in all, a great 5 days away at an unbeleivable price for what we got. SHould I return to Monte Gordo, I wouldnt hessitate to stay again.

Have just returned home after a week at this hotel. I noticed it had mixed reviews. My personal opinion of this hotel is it was perfect for my needs. The hotel is very clean and spacious. My room and bathroom were spotless. Free air con, free safe. A very decent size fridge that kept contents very cool. Free wifi all over the hotel and no problems with it. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. As we’re the bar staff. A “hi” to Martin who was super sweet. A huge dining area that was very clean. Lots of choice for breakfast. Cereals, yogurts, fruit, breads, cakes, cheese, meats, preserves and honey etc. There was also cooked bacon, sausages, fried and scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms etc. Toaster at hand for toast. The bread rolls are baked fresh in the kitchen each morning and are delicious. My one and only negative is the choice of teabags. Needed three to produce one cup of weak tasteless tea. There’s a large sunbathing area with good quality sun loungers. The pool was stunning too. I would most definitely return to this lovely and well run hotel.

As non-Spanish speaking guests, we still loved this place! We had the 2 bed apartment with loads of space and cooking facilities, two huge bathrooms with showers in both. The hotel itself had a huge incremental swimming pool was so safe for my 2yr old and 5yr old, plus the baby pool. We used the kids club and Barry disco almost every day, the kids loved it there and even though my son was too small to stay the staff were happy to let us play football with him there and join in on the games! Rafa, Ger and Maria were all fantastic. We were breakfast only guests & it was a short 10-15min distance to walk to the town for dinner. The beach is also on your doorstep, and a supermarket 1min away, what was not to love. One thing to improve is an area for recycling plastic toys. I have seen this in other hotels, rather than bin them if left in the room, create a small reuse area with buckets and footballs that the next family can enjoy. Also less plastic in the fridge, as the hotel already has a water refill area which is amazing but probably under utilized by room guests as it is out in the bar area.. maybe another one needed in reception as an alternative to buying single use plastic. This would improve the positive culture of sustainability mentioned in leaflets left in the room. Overall excellent value for money.

We are just nearing the end of our 10 day stay here, we have had a wonderful holiday, yes its 90% german citizens here and TUI should probably make that clearer when booking but part of me is glad they didnt as it may have made me book somewhere else, i have attended fitness classes in german but the staff made every effort to explain things to me in english and i enjoyed them just as much, my husband joined the tennis tournament and he had a great time, the german people he played with all spoke good english and they were laughing and joking together, my kids made some good friends too. The silent disco was wondeful having 3 channels on the headset, german, english and house music, it was so much fun. The bands and robins singers in the evening have been great. I havent struggled to get a table in the evening, in fact we have got the same table every night and our waiters have been wonderful. The food is world class and fresh. I was dubious about coming all inclusive as we normally go on villa holidays, but we have had the best time and wish we could stay longer. This is definately a 5 star resort, if you are booking just go with the flow their isnt really a language barrrier if you just put in the effort to speak to people. Most enjoyable all round stay. Arrival and check in was very easy. We found they had left plated food and water in our room (380) even though we arrived at 1 am. The room was very spacious with plenty of storage and hanging space also contained a kitchenette with sink (very useful) fridge, tea making facilities and utensils. Good bathroom with shower over bath.An adequate balcony with drying rail over looking the garden and pool area with distant view of the sea. We had emailed ahead and requested a quiet room on a high floor which is exactly what we had. We were all inclusive with TUI . All meals were buffet and we found plenty of choice, huge variety, and the food and drinks were very good. There were two areas for outside eating which we enjoyed. The staff worked very hard to keep the dining areas clean and tidy and cleared the tables quickly and efficiently. All areas, bars, pool, snack bar were kept very clean and no food at the pool was enforced which was good to see. There were plenty of sun beds and guests were encouraged not to leave them reserved for long unattended periods of time. There were plenty of peaceful and comfortable little areas tucked away for drinks from the bar or relaxing. The bars were well staffed and you had the option of paying extra for cocktails, brands etc. Most guests were Spanish, French and Portuguese families and the entertainment was mainly catered towards them. The hotel is in a lovely position just across the promenade from a lovely beach that stretches for approx 15 miles. The local buses stopped a ten minute walk away and were very cheap. Staff are extremely helpful and most speak excellent English. Nothing is too much trouble . So a very big thank you to all the staff and although we cannot remember all the names the ones we remember are, at the bar Millan and Manuela, at reception Laura &Alba, in the dining area Oscar Vaz, Sonia, Bouch, and the very cheerful omelette Chef Monika. There was a safe in the room which you payed a deposit for which was returned , also pool towels were available and could be exchanged every three days again with a returnable deposit . We really enjoyed this holiday and intend to visit again in the near future.

Las instalaciones y la ubicación está bien, el personal que trabaja en el hotel, los camareros/as así como los cocineros/as son muy amables y realizan un gran trabajo. El personal de recepción no es lo agradable que creo deberían ser por el puesto que desempeñan y el personal de limpieza, tiene disposición y seguramente sea por exceso de carga de trabajo, pero no realizan la limpieza diaria de las habitaciones con un mínimo, por ejemplo, se les rompió el cenicero de la terraza que era de cristal y hemos estado toda nuestra estancia (más de una semana) encontrando cristales por el suelo. El banco de la habitación que hacía de maletero, siempre tenía arena de la playa, la mesa auxiliar donde posábamos los vasos, tan poco lo limpiaron, dejaron un cepillo en el baño y estuvo allí dos días, etc…

We had a 7 day vacation at the golf resort. We were recognised as gold member and received an upgrade to a ‘villa’. It was nice for the four of us my daughter and boyfriend stayed in the main building. In the villa there was no storage in the bedroom and a bathtub on the second floor with a shower, I would update this to a walk in shower there is plenty of space. Breakfast, dinner and 5 rounds of golf were in our package which was great. A bit more different themes during the week for diner are welcome but overall good. You can rent a buggy for 5 days with a package price of €160. We played padel 5 times which was a nice addition activity. Renting a court and rackets is €27,00 for 90 minutes. The golf course is challenging and with 27 holes has a lot of variety. Greens are really well maintained. There is a little train to the beach club that is a nice activity for a day or two. Plenty of fresh fish restaurants.

Hotel com excelentes instalações. O sítio perfeito para aproveitar o bom tempo do Algarve. Próximo de uma praia fantástica. O pacote de escolhi foi de alojamento e pequeno almoço. O único ponto fraco foi mesmo a qualidade do produtos no pequeno almoço. Os sumos são de pouquíssima qualidade, mini pastelaria quase inexistente e wafles muitos más. O mesmo se repete ao jantar. Decidimos jantar no hotel e o buffet é muito pobre e sem qualidade. Não sei se está relacionado com os pacotes all inclusive que maioria dos hóspedes tem, mas acho que é um ponto a melhorar para a satisfação dos clientes. Adoramos na mesma, mas sem dúvida que caso volte, farei as refeições fora do hotel.
