Muy buen hotel, muy buenas instalaciones

Chambre basique décevante. Lavabo nettoyé mais avec traces de peluches et petit morceau d’éponge. Pas de savon au lavabo. Bouteille vide laissée par terre à côté du lit par les occupants précédents. Quantité de chocolat insuffisante au petit-déjeuner pour 2 (seulement une petite tasse et demie pour 2).

First of all I have to say its a very interesting building and that the downstairs/breakfast/bar area is quite nice but after that, Im struggling to find more positives. Bar - the reception staff are also the bar staff so if there are people at reception you can forget having a drink. Also you have to pay at the reception, which once again if theres a queue can take a while. Rooms - this was the most disappointing as the downstairs looked nice. I ended up with two single mattresses and quilts which were comfortable, a broken lamp in the corner and could still see quite a bit of dust. There was also a LOT of noise during the night. Breakfast - to be honest it was ok-ish, the food they had was nice enough for what it was. All in all I wont be in a rush to stay again

Nice and quiet hotel in an old XVIIIth century prison surrounded by a park. Rooms are a bit small (but not as small as the cells must have been). In Vilvoorde it is a short 5 min walk from the main church. Belgian breakfast is good, there is plenty of space to sit at your table. There is a small bar. Within a 5-10 minute walk you are downtown where there are shops and restaurants.

Let’s start with the two positives. One, the staff were absolutely lovely, so incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to assist us. Perfect English and just genuinely nice people. Two -it’s quirky. As an ex jail some of the features are interesting, although the dark and tatty hallways did nothing for it I’m afraid. So, the reality of this stay. Uncomfortable. We had two single beds pushed together and they were like a bouncy castle. I fell off the edge one night because the very very poor mattress didn’t stay on the base. It was like a big inflatable. There are no facilities in rooms for tea/coffee. The hotel does not do food other than breakfast. This hotel accommodates many surgery patients who have to stick to a liquid diet. Not so easy when no food at hotel and no kettle in room. Patients are not always able to walk any distance to get into town to buy anything. The room was hat I called “surface clean” it was not clean to standards I’d expect. Thick pockets of Dust and the cleaning service did not come near our room in the 5 days we stayed. They have no till at the bar so It’s exact money only with no change given or use a card (which if you’re pounds sterling will add a charge From bank) At €120 per night, was it worth that? No it certainly was not. For that accommodation I’d expect To pay €95 a night tops. Again I must finish with how fabulous the staff all were. In a better hotel our trip would have been perfect Staff actually heated a tin of soup for me also which they didn’t need to do. So kind

Un albergo davvero comodo, camere grandi e ottima colazione. Costi contenuti e alla sera si può fare anche una bella passeggiata nel piccolo paese o lungo il canale. Lo uso sempre quando vado a Bruxelles perché è anche vicino all'aeroporto.

Bel accueil.. Chambre propre et stylé. Hôtel atypique puisque c'était une ancienne prison. Heureusement le dimanche le parking est gratuit cela aurait pu être le seul point noir. Le cadre est vraimant charmant et le service est bon. Très bon petit déjeuner.

Ik kwam een aantal jaren terug wekelijks in dit hotel - het is een uniek gebouw - een oude gevangenis. Het probleem is dat er in de jaren geen onderhoud heeft plaatsgevonden. Er zitten vlekken op de muren door het hele gebouw. Het tapijt is vreselijk vies, schimmel in de badkamer en het geheel geeft geen schoon gevoel. Gratis flesjes water op de kamer maar geen opener is illustratief. Ontbijt is in orde. Hoewel het niet een heel duur hotel was (150 incl ontbijt) had ik iets meer verwacht gezien mijn ervaring in het verleden.

Mooi hotel in een oude gevangenis, er is wel een grondig nazicht nodig. Badkamer matig gepoetst, hangt duidelijk stof op stopcontacten, radiator, spiegel, lavabo en toilet. Bad kan je als douche gebruiken maar dan komt de badkamer onder water te staan. Behang komt los, bedden slapen pover door de veren en te zacht bed. Je valt in een kuil als je teveel naar de kant rolt. Nieuwe matrassen zal nodig zijn. Loshangende kapstokken en leggers in de kasten komen schuin te staan door ontbrekende steunpunten. Aan de liften komt ook de bekleding los, en dat oogt niet fraai. Vriendelijk onthaal, ontbijt is pover, zeer goedkope producten en karig aanbod. Er was geen warme chocolademelk te verkrijgen, zeer vreemd. Een betere Opkuis van de kamer/ badkamer, een rondgang van te herstellen items is dringend nodig. Isolatie is niet denderend. Dit kan beter in veel opzichten.
