Bel Ami Suita Hotel

I stayed with two friends for a week at this hotel and as many other people wrote, this is a nice hotel to spend one night on your way to your destination. It is not that good for longer stays like ours. The breakfast was really good, with lots of local and homemade cheeses, jams and baked foods. My favourite were petullas, small hollow doughnuts I filled with their delicious fig or orange jam. What my friends and I didn’t like were the meat products because they seemed to be cheap and not that good. The other thing was that there was very few vegetables and seasonal fruits. Albania has wonderful figs, melons and watermelons and it’s a pity they chose to serve apples and peaches instead. Also, the breakfast starts at 8.30, not the best time if you want to go to the beach early. The coffee served at breakfast was terrible for a few days until we complained that it neither smelled nor tasted like coffee and thwy fixed it the very next day, which was great. The hotel has a restaurant so we tried some traditional albanian food and it was delicious. The thing they need to change is how they serve it because they didn’t serve all three dishes at approximately the same time. Instead, my first friend had already eaten her dinner before my other friend got her meal and by the time I got mine, they had both eaten theirs. It was almost funny to realize that the whole evening two people watched the third one eat. The thing I was disappointed about, especially due to the fact that the hotel has great reviews was the cleanliness of the rooms. The room was clean when we arrived but it was not cleaned even once during the week we stayed there. The cleaning staff would just take out the trash and clean the toilet seat area. The floors were not cleaned, neither was the bidet, the sink or the shower. I read in some of the reviews that each suite had a small kitchen, that is not true anymore, there is only a fridge, but you are not allowed to take food into the room. The apartment had two balconies but no drying rack where you could hang your beach towels and swimsuits to dry, which is unfortunate when you are there on a seaside holiday and go to the beach every day. The location of the hotel is not great, as you need a car to get to any nicer beaches. You can also walk about 20-30 minutes, but the lack of a pavement in the village makes this a very dangerous adventure as you are forced to walk along a very busy road. Another thing everyone should keep in mind is that the hotel does not accept any cards so you have ro have euros or albanian leks with you.

Una struttura che rispecchia tutto ciò che la gente dice su di essa. Appartamento ampio e pulito, struttura di recente costruzione e tenuta bene. Personale cortese e pronto a soddisfare le esigenze del cliente. Parcheggio coperto e scoperto. La ciliegina sulla torta è stata la colazione abbondante e di qualità, con prodotti locali spiegati in maniera dettagliata e maniacale dalla proprietaria.. Uniche note dolenti sono la distanza da Valona e dalla sua movida, soprattutto perché nei pressi della struttura non c'è granché da vedere. Ci sono diversi lidi vicini, noi siamo stati al Bora dove abbiamo pagato 8€ 1 ombrellone e due lettini e con una decina di euro si mangia veramente bene. L'hotel non accetta carte e questo non va bene, soprattutto se si fanno più notti in struttura e non si hanno a disposizione molti contanti.

Tutto bene non capiamo perché non ci puliscono la stanza e non ci danno gli asciugamani di ricambio..... davvero frustrante ....il resto tutto buono ottima colazione in un giardino molto bello e personale gentile ma questa cosa davvero non la capisco

Ottimo tutto la pulizia, la suite bagno due camere e terrazzino con veduta sul mare, la colazione tutte cose genuine burro dei oascoli, marmellata fatta in casa come le torte , la gentilezza dei proprietari posizione buona per spostarsi e visitare valona e dintorni consigliato
