Checked in early and managed to get a better room than the one I was initially slated to stay in. View was amazing. Been to the Grand Wailea a couple times before but this was the first visit where I went to check out the fitness center and found it to be a highlight of the stay. Lots of great equipment, open 24 hrs, and almost always empty (except for early in the morning when I saw a few other guests). Wish I could use the facility without being a guest. If I had to pick a downside to it, then it would probably be renovations going on. Although the noise never bothered me during the stay, it was mostly an aesthetic annoyance with the signs and blocked off areas.

We normally stay at 5 Diamond hotels but since the prices and availability have risen so quickly we opted to book at the Residence Inn. Wow, what a pleasant surprise! The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is actually the size of a studio apartment with a kitchenette. Two full size queen beds with a pull out sofa too. Lots of outlets to plug in all your electronics and no need to move furniture to find them. Full buffet breakfast included daily. I’m gluten free and had plenty of options to choose from each day. Pool & spa are open late, live music Tuesday & Friday, great bar menu and the bartender, Chewy, is the best!! We went off road ATV’ing and our clothes were filthy with red dirt… guest what? Guest laundry 24/7 along with detergent to buy at the front desk. We will definitely stay here again. We met a few other people who shared it was their first time at the hotel too and they were very impressed. Book this hotel now, you’ll be happy you did!

My recent stay at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort left much to be desired, and I was far from impressed with the overall experience. Upon arrival, I was met with a seemingly indifferent check-in process, lacking the warmth and hospitality that one would expect from a luxury resort. The lobby, though modern, felt sterile and lacked the charm that I had hoped to find in a Hawaiian escape. While the resort's surroundings were undeniably beautiful, the state of the facilities was a letdown. The infinity pools, though picturesque, were overcrowded, and finding a comfortable spot to relax was a challenge. The beachfront location was indeed stunning, but the beach itself felt overcrowded and neglected, with trash and debris left unattended. The accommodations were underwhelming, with the room feeling more dated than luxurious. The lack of attention to detail was evident in the tired furnishings and lack of proper maintenance. I encountered issues with cleanliness, and the absence of a ventilation system in the bathroom made it a humid and unpleasant space. Dining at Andaz Maui was a disappointing experience, mainly due to the exorbitant prices for mediocre food. The breakfast buffet, though featuring a variety of options, was far from worth the cost, leaving me feeling like I had been taken advantage of as a guest. The staff's overall service was inconsistent, with some members appearing disinterested and unresponsive to guest needs. It was evident that the resort lacked a cohesive approach to guest satisfaction, resulting in an unmemorable and disheartening stay. While the resort's location offered access to nearby attractions, the lack of shuttle services or convenient transportation options made it a hassle to explore the area. In conclusion, Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort fell short of providing the luxury experience I had anticipated. The lackluster accommodations, disappointing dining options, and hit-or-miss service left me feeling dissatisfied with my stay. I would caution potential guests to carefully consider their expectations and alternatives before choosing this resort for their Hawaiian vacation.
