Hotel berhampiran 18 Willis St, Wellington

It's an older hotel and the halls smell a little funky but that quickly fades. The rooms show some signs of wear but are clean and have all the things you need. The bed was clean and comfy. The dining room was cozy and inviting. There seemed to be a little confusion in the kitchen, I know places are short staffed, but the food that arrived I really enjoyed. It is close to lots of things, I was on foot for this trip. The value was good for the price and I would stay here again.

Very decent and perfect for the quick stop! Check in and check out were a bit slow and we did a bit of running around at the end trying to check out as we were not told we would be charged if we didn’t hand our keycards back (we left them in the room). Other than that, the place was perfect and cosy! Very comfy beds!

Stayed here a couple of nights. First time at a backpackers, selected this establishment as it was in town and walking distance from everything. The place was clean and tidy, patrons were also friendly. Staff were awesome. We had a private room but shared amenities, room had fresh clean sheets and pillows. The bunk beds are solid. I'm roughly 85kg and I was able to climb up and down without any problems. The room we stayed in had a view of the carpark and a wall but it was fine and we were right next to the kitchen and bathroom. Bathroom and toilet are in the same room and there were two on the floor. You could hear the people in the kitchen but no biggie, its like being at home with the siblings. I did not have enough time to explore rooms, but take the stairs .. the rooms are not that high up that you need a lift unless you have a ton of luggage. Stairs is a much quicker option to reaching your room. Also be careful of taxi drivers when travelling from the bus stop to the backpackers as we were charged $40 after that we used the uber service or walked everywhere. I'm geographically challenged and go down the wrong corridors a lot, this place only has two flights so you cannot go wrong. All the information you need is on each floor, on the bulletin board in the kitchen. I'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights on and adults weekend away. Great little hotel, rooms are nice with fully equipped kitchen in the suite. I would recommend the suite rather than room for a bit more space. Nice little touches like Bottled water, an Organic fruit drink and chocolate in your room on arrival. Plus you can help yourself to soft drinks and coffee in the lobby anytime. Came with breakfast (continental) which looked nice but we ate out. Customer service was really god. Very close to everything, Will stay again. The only thing that bothered me was no opening windows, but fresh air vents are in place.

Excellent place to stay. Very clean and the managers are awesome always willing to help. Very cool place to stay right by the waterfront. New right across the road. Recommend to all traveling weather on a budget or not. Great team there.

Walau bagaimanapun, kemudahan hotel mempunyai banyak perincian yang perlu diperbaiki. Terutama tercermin di pintu bilik mandi dan pintu masuk bilik mandi akan bertarung, bilik mandi tidak mempunyai tab mandi, dll. Great location, very close to the city center with good dining options nearby. However, the hotel facilities are quite old and outdated. During check-in, we had to switch elevators on the 7th floor, due to maintenance, which was inconvenient as we had to walk up to the 9th floor. We stayed at this hotel when visiting Wellington. (Rm705) The staff were friendly and helpful. The foyer and corridors looked tired and in need of refurbishment. We stayed on the top floor overlooking a side street. The room was clean well appointed and of a good size. The beds were comfortable and the shower had a good pressure. Car parking was limited and a tight squeeze to get in. We could have done with double glazing windows as we did have some street noise from rowdy people. The restaurant at the hotel needed to display More Gluten Free Options as this prevented us eating there. Al's Top Tips Ask for a room not over looking Willis Street. Take a good umbrella / waterproof clothing as it rains alot here and can be quite windy.

Probably my favourite hostel so far. Modern, chic (with the cutest minimalist-industrial design) with facilities like multiple lounges across the different floors, a roof deck, etc! It was clean and cosy as well. And the location was fantastic - near to the Old Quarter and Habour. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer!

The Cambridge is a hotel that shows its age, with its threadbare carpets and a 'cage' style lift. The long, dingy corridor on our floor reminded me of the 1930s hotel in Barton Fink. That said, the place still has some old-world charm, aided by a pretty convenient location and excellent wifi. Our room was a bit of a tight squeeze, dominated by a king-size bed when a queen-size would have done. Bathroom was OK bar the skinniest hand basin I think I have ever seen. For those interested in self-catering, there is an excellent backpacker kitchen, clean and well equipped.
