As other recent reviews have stated, this hotel is in desperate need of fixing up. The bathroom, in particular was kind of gross. Paint peeling off the walls. Mold. Very dated looking. The location is nice and the bed was comfortable, but, it's really showing it's age. Would be a very nice spot if they'd invest in it.

The team were friendly and approachable. The room was very comfortable - our room was not ready and we were very early, but they saw to it that it was ready within an hour. Spacious, Clean and roomy, Couldnt wish for anything better. Will certainly recommend and if in Wellington again would stay at Best Western.

酒店地理位置非常好，馬路對面就是纜車的入口，可以去纜車博物館和太空博物館。馬路對面不遠處還有一個超市可以購買食物，比如牛奶、酸奶，但那裡的西點不推薦，不好吃。附近有很多購物中心啊，飯店啊，吃飯購物都很便捷。去碼頭、維多利亞山、國會大廈和新西蘭國家博物館都在步行範圍內。走了一圈，感覺惠靈頓市區並不大。衹不過酒店的大門和logo不是特別醒目，很容易錯過。 酒店的自助早餐廳不是很大，品種也不是特別多，但能夠接受。 房間的衞生間非常寬敞亮堂，房間稍微有點擁擠，因為桌椅太多了。 總體的入住體驗好，推薦。

The hotel is clean, tidy and has all you need for a short stay. The continental breakfast is very simple yet adequate, but not sure it’s worth $30 per head. There was no hot water for three mornings in a row, besides colleagues and myself letting reception know every day. Got used to cold showers!

Booking was done directly on the Hotel's website. Check in from 2pm translated into checking in after 4pm over an hour after we arrived, we were simply instructed to go away and come back later! On the at least four occasions I was at the reception, I had to explain again to the same receptionist why I was there - to check in ! ! ! Reason given room was not ready, was lack of staff and a full house the night before LOL. Room provided was not what was booked, nor did it match what they advertise on their website. When we queried issues with staff we were passed to Manager, she said she would get back to us in a couple of minutes when she had checked our booking - that translated into over half an hour before she turned up at reception - after she was again called away from another activity. Her arrival took the form of wanting to book us in, totally disregarding she had promised to call us back. Even when I showed the Manager (a) Our Booking; AND (b) Room Info on their websiste, I was told I was wrong LOL . . . So we left. Payment was processed immediately, Credit took significantly longer to be processed, despite there being there being less than an hour between payment and refund. Several staff were covered with visible tattoos, they may have been excellent employees, but that is not everyone's cup of tea, to us, not at all professional for the hospitality sector.

I stayed one night in the QT and a second night in the apartment hotel, which is in the same building, because the QT was full. Staff are generally friendly (other than the person who checked me in) but truly incompetent. The person who booked me in for the first night seemed to think I was speaking in a foreign language when I explained that I wanted to check whether there had been any cancellations in the QT, so I didn’t need to change rooms the next night. Once I made him understand he promised to check and then promptly forgot to do so. After I reminded him he went off to check for the wrong night. Reception is quite odd generally. There were usually a number of people standing there, but none of them seem to address you directly. Instead they all discuss your question between themselves. Quite disconcerting. Other indicators of mediocrity/ incompetence include misspellings everywhere ( the room service has “dinning” instead of “dining” and the evacuation signs in the rooms tell you to evacuate “ calmy” instead of “calmly”) and my breakfast experiences where the staff bring you the wrong coffee ( and fail to bring the correct order until just before you leave), staff having big discussions ( while holding cooling food at the reception) about where to take orders because they had got the table numbers wrong and staff leaving you waiting forever to even sit down for breakfast, let alone take your order. Then there are the incidents like the reception either failing to give you a receipt for your luggage or ( as happened to me when I left) reception putting another guest’s details on the tag (even though I had completed a tag) so I had to to open the suitcase to check it was actually mine. When I queried the incorrect luggage tag, the concierge said my “colleague “ must have completed the tag. I didn’t have a colleague staying at the hotel. Rooms in both the QT and the apartments are incredibly dark ( particularly in the apartments). I had to turn off the electricity supply at the switchboard in the apartment, in order to get to sleep, as it was buzzing so much. The apartments are really old and tired with a very noisy ventilation system. The QT room was much better but the balcony needed cleaning. I was staying there for a conference and a number of other people at the conference commented to me about the unbelievably unhelpful and incompetent person at reception. Still trying to get a receipt out of them for my second night’s stay too.
