Very nice looking country pub & hotel. We went for a Sunday lunch. The restaurant interior decor was lovely and though quite big it still felt cosy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The manager was very nice chatting to us about the history of the pub and the recent refurbishment. We ordered the pork belly roast dinner. Really delicious and one of the best roasts we have ever had. Definitely recommend a visit and we will be back soon.

Excellent stay from the moment we arrived until we left (2 nights). Very comfortable and quiet. Our room was warm even though it was minus 6 outside! Very good breakfast choices and evening meals. Particularly enjoyed the avocado and eggs breakfast and the steak frites dinner. Highly recommend.

We went to The Harcourt Arms for Sunday lunch and it was excellent, so would highly recommend this place. Each course was outstanding, and the menu provided enough options for both vegetarians and meat eaters without being overwhelming. All of the dishes we had were delicious and clearly freshly prepared in the kitchens. The service was attentive and friendly and they have a great selection of beers and wines. It was so nice to get out of Oxford city centre and in only 20 minutes arrive at this welcoming and cosy traditional pub where the fires were burning. We will be back soon.

Firstly the renovation is superb. It was 30 years since I last went there. We went for lunch with friends and found the main room cool on a cold damp day. We asked if an another unlit fire could be lit and were abruptly told no. The food was tasty and well cooked but warm, not hot. In summary. it good be brilliant but the detail was missing. It will be a while before we go back.

We stayed at this pub in November as a party of four, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Good points: clean and comfortable bedroom; tasty food; good selection of beers/wines; friendly staff; good value accommodation. Not quite so good points: food a bit pricey (but not extortionate); bar/restaurant areas were cold, as a roof light was open to let smoke from the fire escape. Probably not usually an issue, but we stayed when there had been a fall of snow, so the pub struggled to retain any heat. Suggest something needs to be done to sort the smoke extract out! Overall it was a great place to stay, and we'll certainly be heading back in the Spring.

This was a truly lovely restful and delightful stay in a lovely character-filled 'Inn' with superb team members and the most wonderful food. Genuinely we had a restful 18 hours, enjoying interesting and tasty food, great beer and an excellent breakfast. Thank you Callum and Jacob for your care and attention to us.

What an amazing place to stay in such a quiet, classic British village. The staff are super friendly and attentive and we had a lovely time in a brilliantly furnished room. The breakfast is up there with one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had! (only minor point is that they definitely need a new toaster!)

We stayed here after visiting the Game Fair at Blenheim Palace - it was perfect! We had a lovely, peaceful nights sleep, very clean with comfy bed and pillows. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant, good wine, excellent food and very chilled - the sticky toffee tiramisu is delicious! We will definitely return next time we visit this area.

Went for lunch with adult family and sat in the garden. Lovely spacious patio area, some of the tables had parasols, which was welcome in the intense heat and sunshine. We all enjoyed the food and drinks chosen, very pleasant staff. Two of us are vegetarians so some vegetarian mains would be appreciated - as often is the case when there isn’t a choice, I had fish and chips, but not all vegetarians would feel catered for.
