The high bar that all B&B's should aspire to. Wonderful location on the beach front, very near the train station. Such a pristine, friendly place to stay with all the luxe of a city hotel. We had rooms 4 and 7 it felt like we had a wing all to ourselves. Quiet and private. The beds were amazingly comfortable. My friend was upgraded and we both had a lovely welcome note and posh chocolates on our arrival. Nothing is too much trouble, Jonathan and Karen have fine tuned their guest experience service, I have stayed many times over the past 5 years and it always amazes me the high level of client care and the ambience of Gloucester House. If you want an amazing stay with a view, in wonderful Weymouth, this is for you, from your arrival to the sumptuous Dorset breakfast and checkout, you won't be disappointed. The sea view rooms are worth the cost and really put the cherry on the top. Weymouth is clean and with it's white sandy beach, cocktail bars and palm trees, it feels quite tropical. It is an excellent base to explore the Dorset coastline, as we did, fuelled on one of the best breakfasts I've ever experienced in the UK. Thank you Jonathan and Karen for another fabulous stay, and I hope to see you again next year. Not a single gripe, just gratitude.

We spent one night here and had room 8 on the second floor. We knew about the stairs and no lift from other reviews but this was no problem. We checked in via the Railway Tavern next door. The staff checked us in despite us being earlier than anticipated and showed us to our room. We were unsure about the car parking. However the helpful staff explained that for a refundable deposit of £10, you get a parking voucher to display on your dashboard which enables you to park in the Swannery car park a flat 5 minute walk from the hotel. You are able to park briefly outside the hotel in a loading bay to check in and similarly to return the parking voucher to the hotel and loads your bags on check out. We found all the staff helpful and polite. Our room was large and overlooked the front of the hotel. The shower in particular was fantastic. The breakfast offering is great - you can choose from cereals, full cooked breakfast, eggs on toast in various ways or a bacon or sausage sandwich. We went out for the evening to an amazing Thai restaurant - Monas' - and on our return, we had a couple of drinks in the Railway Tavern. We were not disturbed by any noise from the pub.

Got there a little earlier the guy behind the counter got us a parking permit upgrade to a bigger room with sea view very help full for eating places all round very good experience at the hotel would stay there again no problem

Without doubt, one of the most comfortable places l have ever stayed in. My host, Steve, couldn’t do enough to make my stay memorable. Nothing was too much trouble. The attention to detail was remarkable. Lovely , comfy bed with gorgeous , fluffy pillows. Fresh tea, coffee & milk and cold water available out of the fridge in ‘the Library.’ Fabulous ltalian Continental breakfast with warm croissants & fresh fruit salad & yogurt and delicious fresh coffee, of your choice. Brilliant location, right in town, but looking at the beach. Can’t wait to go back. No need to look for anywhere else to stay in Weymouth. Chapter 1 did it for me!
