Victorian Inns by OYO Whitesboro U.S. Hwy 82

This is the first time we have used this motel since the original owner passed away and it will be the LAST! I called two times to make a reservation and some man said no problem, but didn't want to confirm anything - that should have been the first red flag. Then when we arrived there was NO record of calls, etc and was told by mgr the man doesn't speak English and didn't transfer any messages. 2nd flag. Left this morning at 8 and NO ONE was available & office locked, so left remote and key card in NIGHT DROP (which is really just an area between both doors) ; just called to check if they got it and was told WE DON'T OPEN UNTIL 10 BECAUSE THAT IS WHEN EVERYONE CHECKS OUT BY 11! SO someone must of picked it up. This is not a way to run a motel or hotel business and after using this place for well over 30 years, WILL NOT BE BACK or refer any family there in the future. I'm sure the old owners would not be happy how repeat guests are being treated. Go to Sherman/Gainesville and pay a little extra for better service. I've stayed at hotels/motels all over the US and NEVER been treated to such poor service. Not the mention the sheets and mattress cover were stained; the tub wouldn't drain when taking a shower and the bed was like sleeping on a rock.
