Puddle Duck Lodge – Adults Only

This b&b is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing break in Bowness. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly owners and shown to our Beatrix potter room which was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The attention to detail was lovely, even a dish to place your tea bag and a mat to place your straighteners/hair dryer (very handy for me who is constantly straightening my hair!) also loved the idea of breakfast to the room such a nice concept and the food was delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

Excellent guest house spotlessly clean the couple that own it can't do enough for you Room was beautiful with a four poster bed loved every second will definitely be booking again. Lovely and peaceful location and the hamper breakfast was excellent

Ignore any negative reviews. The service care, cleanliness, attention to detail and quality at this accommodation are superb. Breakfast hampers are a delight and the gardens are beautiful. Conveniently situated for local attractions and restaurants. Well done David and Jenny. 10/10.

A lovely stay from start to finish. I only stayed one night but wish I could have stayed longer. I was amazed at the attention to detail in every aspect throughout the lodge. I noticed a lot of the complimentary products were locally sourced, which is a nice touch. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for a short walk into Bowness, with plenty of amenities nearby. I liked the idea of the breakfast hamper, but the menu seemed unnecessarily complicated. 4 pages of options and combinations was a bit much for me after a long day travelling. Although I must say it was very well presented and I enjoyed it. I would highly recommend the Puddle Duck Lodge to anyone visiting this part of the world.

What a find! Puddle Duck Lodge is perfect - from it’s beautiful garden, meticulously kept to the wonderful, spacious & amazing decor in the room. Attention to detail is everything here. Spotlessly clean (no trace of any dog hairs!) and the charming theme to the room is lovely. Parking is a bonus and it’s just a short walk downhill to the Lake, so perfectly positioned. David & Jenny are fabulous hosts - and those impressive breakfasts are the best we’ve ever had! So much choice and beautifully presented- loved the Puddle Duck imprint on the toast! We had the most wonderfully relaxing stay and would not hesitate to return. Cannot recommend highly enough.

What a great stay I had , great host and a great breakfast which was brought to my room in a hamper My room had everything I needed and more nothing was missed off even a little dish for a used teabag lol so you get the gist of what I’m saying also the whole place was immaculate and spotless and only 50 yards from the Main Street and shops etc yet it was nice and quite last be not least not forgetting the loverly resident cat Neville who was 19. yrs old and loved a stroke Stay here and you won’t be disappointed
