This is a lovely hotel! It's classy and elegant, and overall it'll make your vacation that much more special. The location is great, as you can walk to restaurants or other places in Luray. The Luray Caverns are a quick drive away, as is a Walmart and Food Lion, and Skyline Drive's Thornton Gap Entrance is close by. I ate at the Circa '31 restaurant for breakfast, which was reasonably priced (the menu is small with a few standard breakfast options). Free coffee and muffins in the lobby at all times. The Speakeasy restaurant is very good, and has various specials/deals each night. The bedrooms are small, but comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, with an area for bonfires and hammocks, as well as a pool and hot tub area. The staff is very kind and accommodating. A few recommendations for the management: ~Put mini fridges in the rooms ~Put chairs on the balcony so people can use it as a sitting area ~Something to provide more counter space in the bathrooms I recommend the Mimslyn Inn to anyone staying in the Luray area!

PROS: Nice size room; Nice variety offered for complimentary breakfast; very clean room and comfortable bed; Friendly and helpful staff; Hotel is at a convenient location in safe area; room has a nice size closet and a spacious vanity area in bathroom. Good water pressure in shower. CONS: Stationery chair was not comfortable; website allows you to choose extra pillows & towels, but these were not available upon arrival although we chose on website when making reservation. HVAC system had a very loud grinding noise all night, but we did not request room to be changed since so late in the evening. HVAC was going to be serviced after we checked out. Hotel is located along highway, so although convenient for traveling and depending where your room is located in hotel, you will hear traffic on highway throughout the night.

..,then it went a bit downhill. Our room had flies..not a few, ALOT. And not normal flies..these seem to have come from Chernobyl? They wouldn't die. I hit them, smashed them, sprayed them with hair spray..that seemed to just anger them? We surrendered to them & changed rooms. This room could've been cleaner, the towels were stained, the comforters were heavy & well made but, I don't sleep with them because who knows what's been on them, and when I took them off..no blankets? We have blankets in the truck ( by the way..Truck Parking available!) but if you don't..youre kinda out of luck. The restaurant 'Carmelized' that's on the property is Great--Both for dinner & breakfast!

We stayed here while visiting family in the area. This is an extremely clean and modern property. We had the smallest-size suite - with a family of 4 it was a bit tight (pull-out couch + pack ‘n play), but this didn’t bother us at all. The front desk was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beyond our expectations (make-your-own waffles, cereals, hard boiled eggs, pre-made egg omelette, cheese fritatta, chobani yogurts, fresh fruit, english muffins, etc.). The pool was also just wonderful, especially early in the morning or late in the evening. Location of the property is also ideal - close to restaurants, grocery stores, and highway 66. Will stay here again for sure when in the area.
