Perfect for a family vacation with kids! There are plenty of activities, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is excellent.

The environment here is first-rate, with blooming lotus flowers all along the wide lake. The scenery, including the lake and mountains, and the city views across the water, are all breathtaking. The lakeside promenade and large lawn are perfect spots for walking dogs. The Chinese restaurant's dishes use fresh and delicious ingredients. Breakfast, however, was just average. We travel with our pet in a stroller to ensure we don't inconvenience others, and we're always very considerate. However, we didn't truly feel the hotel was pet-friendly. We did, though, experience a warm welcome from the young parents and children staying at the hotel.

I'm a Wuhan local, and there aren't many family-friendly hotels in downtown Wuhan, so we've been bringing our kids to Hilton Optics Valley for several years in a row. However, this time, I couldn't stand it anymore. The hardware facilities and service have completely gone downhill. Below is my comprehensive feedback, purely my personal opinion, so please no hate or negativity! 1. The hotel's location is indeed good. It's about a 30-minute drive from most places in Wuchang and only about 20 minutes from Wuhan Station. Standing on the balcony, with the lake breeze, blue skies, white clouds, lush mountains, and green water, it's very pleasant and gives off a strong vacation vibe. 2. The hotel has been open for over ten years, and the room facilities are very old. The toilet is ancient, the sofa is dirty, the carpet is dusty, some floor tiles are loose, and the metal trim strips between the floor and carpet are lifting, which is very dangerous for children running barefoot. 3. We mainly go there in the summer for water activities. The indoor pool water is too cold, and the shallow area is all 1.3 meters deep, which isn't suitable for young children. The outdoor pool is open to the public; even non-guests can buy tickets to use it, so it's too crowded and the water is too dirty… There are vendors selling chilled drinks at the outdoor pool entrance. A can of Coke is 10 yuan – don't buy it. There's a vending machine by the pool for 4 or 5 yuan. 4. The fitness center has an arcade area, but the basketball arcade machine and water gun game were both broken. People put coins in, but the machines didn't work. New guests kept putting in coins and getting ripped off. We reported it, but no one did anything about it… 5. The breakfast buffet is a major highlight. It's very rich, with many Hubei specialties like boiled dou si, lotus root soup, osmanthus rice wine, hot dry noodles, and more. Every time, my mouth wants more even though my stomach is full… However, the service attitude of the staff is terrible. I won't even mention the slow old lady cooking noodles, which can be understood… but the young staff clearing tables just stood there the whole time. They didn't proactively guide guests or offer help. I was with my 7-year-old daughter and holding my 2-year-old daughter. I waved my hand from four meters away, signaling for help to find an empty seat, but the staff member seemed to be in a daze the whole time… After I found a seat, I asked my 7-year-old daughter to ask a staff member for a baby chair. I distinctly heard the staff member tell her, “There's one over there; if you need it, go get it yourself…” I was speechless. I called my daughter back to watch her sister, and I went to get it myself… I'm beyond words to complain. In summary, this experience was very poor. The room had a musty smell, and there were no particularly fun facilities. The breakfast, however, was still excellent.

This resort-style hotel with its garden, mountains, and water views gives a great vibe. The rooms are spacious, and the private balcony offers an expansive view of the wide-open sky and Yanxi Lake – it’s truly breathtaking and natural. The hotel's outdoor areas are fantastic; jogging or strolling along the lake is beautiful, especially with the blooming lotus flowers, vast waters, and blue skies. The long-armed swing facing Yanxi Lake, with blooming lotus flowers underfoot and distant mountains, white clouds, green water, and blue sky in the background, is very Instagram-worthy. Right across is Peninsula Paragliding, suitable for older kids (middle school age and up), and they can even send a boat to pick you up and drop you off at the hotel. The feeling of the small boat passing through the lotus flowers is just like a lotus-picking song. There's even more for younger kids to enjoy, both indoors and outdoors.

Great room and swimming pool. Breakfast was fine. Service from the staff was mediocre and this is an area to be improved.

The hotel's private butler, Yunna, provided excellent and considerate service, making everything more convenient. The room was very comfortable, and the environment was beautiful. Hilton Optics Valley will definitely be my first choice in the future.

The hotel is located in the East Lake Eco-tourism Scenic Area, surrounded by lush greenery, offering a wonderful environment. As a Diamond member, I was upgraded to a suite, and the service was excellent. This is my go-to choice for business trips to Optics Valley.

Due to the typhoon, the high-speed train service was suspended, so I had to extend my stay for another night. As expected from the Hilton brand, the quality and design of the rooms and public areas are top-notch, so you can book with confidence. However, if you're looking for a family-friendly hotel, I wouldn't recommend it. Aside from a swimming pool and a very small indoor play area, all other children's facilities were out of service.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel grounds are expansive, and there are plenty of activities for children, making it a great place to relax with kids on the weekend! I was just surprised by how many people were there; I'm not sure if it was because there was a conference happening at the same time. I must mention Yunna, whose service was excellent. She helped me resolve all my issues, and she truly deserves a big thumbs up!

Facilities: The facilities are good, and the outdoor pool is fantastic, but the location is a bit remote with not many shops or restaurants nearby. Cleanliness: Very good. Environment: It's a garden hotel by Yanxi Lake, with a beautiful setting. Service: Very good.

Rooms: This hotel is old, after all. I stayed here 19 years ago and had an excellent impression. I didn't expect to be so disappointed this time compared to back then. The glass top of the coffee table next to the sofa in the room was just resting on it and was very unstable. My son leaned on it lightly and almost cut his hand. Thumbs down. I don't know if it was the bedding or the room, but there was a musty smell. This is what I absolutely cannot stand. I guess it's probably similar throughout their rooms. I ended up using my own disposable pillowcases. However, the soundproofing was good, and it was far from the elevator, so I slept quite well. Service: Definitely not good, and certainly no feeling of being 'home away from home,' just cold and indifferent. The business traveler next door got an upgrade, but I didn't, even though I mentioned it to the butler who contacted me in advance. I can understand, though; an individual guest probably can't compete with business accounts. Pool: It was better than I remembered, but... the pool doesn't provide water or towels. You have to buy them yourself. I was speechless. Isn't this your hotel? But then again, the hotel's prices are indeed low, so I'll just put it down to being cheap. Parking: There are charging stations, which is a plus. What left the deepest impression... the matcha toast at the lobby bar. I really liked it, it was delicious.

The hotel environment is decent, but the facilities are a bit dated. There was a problem with room assignment; after checking into the first room, I found that the next door was under renovation, with constant unbearable noise. After complaining, I was moved to another room. However, early the next morning, around 7 AM, the landscaping department below started trimming the grass, creating a lot of noise which significantly impacted my stay.

Dog facilities were awesome. Feels like they've kinda stopped caring about the steam room a sauna though. Were off.

The hotel environment is excellent, very spacious, and the pool is great for kids.
