the hotel is quiet, clean with very nice Japanese style rooms. We loved the breakfast. Did not book our room with dinner but the hotel staff recommended and booked a wonderful local restaurant that was reasonably priced with a great local atmosphere. Loved the place and would definitely stay again.

Staying one night here was by far the highlight of our trip. We were making our way back to Tokyo from Nagoya and decided to stop here along the way. It’s a quick 15 train ride from the bullet train, and the owner was nice enough to pick us up from the train station. We stayed in room type “A” and it was perfect. There was a beautiful attention to detail in the design of the space, and they thought of everything you might need to have a comfortable stay. They also communicated with me completely in English which made for a smooth check in and check out process. They will even help you with dinner reservations. We can’t say enough about the owner, he really went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. Can’t wait to come back next year!!

Amazing private onsen. They did everything to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Worth the price and more. Wish we planned a longer stay at this onsen at the end of our 2 week trip to Japan. We would make another trip just to come here. Yaizu is a nice quiet area with some delicious fresh bonito which we were told they’re known for.

Tv unable to get HD channels, this day & age that’s ridiculous, unable to access half free to air channels. Daughter visited for dinner only 2 chairs around table visitors sat on floor

My wife and I had a fantastic experience here, the owners/management and the entire staff are so helpful and professional and totally understand hospitality - they champion the term "omotenashi". They go the extra mile to help you in every single way. They also found us great restaurants nearby and attended to every need that we had. I strongly recommend Migiwaya as a place to visit. The rooms are very spacious and incredibly comfortable; the onsen tubs are perfect and beautifully maintained. When we checked in the bath was already filled and ready to go - so great after a long journey. We would definitely return next time I am in Shizuoka. We were only staying here for one night and then went to Hakone for two. In hindsight, I wish we would have booked two nights here, and only one night in Hakone. It was much better here and of far better value.
