Beautiful traditional Ryokan to immerse yourself in a Onsen village. The owner is very kind, informative and helpful.

Hosts are very warm, friendly and helpful. They even provide a shuttle service from and to the railway station beyond a fixed schedule. Outdoor onsen is lovely. The shared bathrooms are well maintained but pity the basin has no hot water for handwashing. Meals can be provided on request.

是一棟有250年歷史的日本特色老房子，打掃的很乾凈，但是牆體很薄，春夏秋去住沒有任何問題，但是冬天整棟樓不集中供暖，是靠一個一個煤油取暖器取暖的，而且房間裏的取暖器設定時間是3小時工作。半夜要爬起來按延時，滑完雪回房間面對的也是冷冰冰的榻榻米。除了暖氣這個問題，別的都很好。如果要來入住，要心裏清楚這是一個客棧不是賓館，有一些規則要遵守。退房時要自己把浴巾、床單等分門別類的投放到回收籃裏

吃的不錯，小鎮温泉文化很好，就是酒店冬天太冷。很傳統的酒店

老闆的英文很好溝通順暢，房間很大有暖氣，乾淨衞生。私湯挺乾淨的，對面就是初之湯。晚上出去泡街上的公共湯體驗很好，下着雪，穿着浴衣也不會冷。 早上老闆送我們去了車站非常感謝。在湯田中渡過了短暫但温暖的一晚。會推薦其他朋友過來的！ The host was great and easy to communicate with, speaking excellent English. The room was big, clean, and warm. The private onsen was nice and clean, and Hatsu-no-Yu was just across the street. We loved soaking in the public onsen at night while it was snowing.feel super warm only wearing the yukata. In the early morning, the host kindly drove us to the station. It was a short but lovely stay in Yudanaka. Highly recommend it to friends!

Very nice stay. Excellent dinner, delicious breakfast. Discount lift tickets and rental gear available too. The owner drove us to/from Yamanoeki each day so we didn't have to walk in.

Loved the hotel! It’s old, yes, but clean and well maintained. The proprietors were also really sweet — when there was a large tour group in the dining hall, they offered to shift us to the lounge instead. Perfect location for ski in- ski out, and really delicious breakfast and dinners :) 10/10 would return!!

This is a very nice onsen hotel. The dinner and breakfast provided is very good. We stayed for 4 nights, and the dinner are all different. Location is very good as it is walking distance to the train station. They have free shuttle bus to the train station and the snow monkey place as well. All the staff are very friendly. I will come back again for sure

First off, the staff are lovely. Even with a language barrier they were friendly, and the reception man was kind. I've stayed at Villa about 4 times now, but this was the first time in about 11 years. Sadly there is a lot that needs to be fixed. The pricing has increased heavily since I was last here. Whilst it is very close to the ski lifts of Ichinose Family, this is a budget accommodation. But I would still expect it to be cleaned more regularly. The rooms are fine, but the hallways, and common areas look very dated and have paint peeling, cracks showing, carpet is old, worn and dirty, and nothing would imply it is being maintained. We never had dinner here, but breakfast was a buffet style, and whether it's worth it to you or not is a personal thing. The convenience store downstairs is only open at night times, and not every day. I remember the restaurant at ground level facing the road served excellent gyoza, ramen and beer. Sadly it's been closed for a while and used as storage. I don't want Villa to become like the rest of the hotels in Ichinose, only for school groups or super expensive because of their proximity to the ski lifts, but it really needs to have some money invested in the property, replacing old and damaged decor, and carpets professionally cleaned yearly. But thank you to all the staff for being lovely and kind people.
