The location of this hotel is strategically located near the LiJiang cruise port. It is walking distance to XiJie (West Street) which is famous for its eateries and bars. Luckily the hotel is not located at XiJie that is bombarding with noise from bars. Hence we have a quiet and peaceful night to sleep. Hotel has laundry room (include dryer) that is free of charge. Room is clean. All the drinks in fridge are free of charge. Will supply mineral water upon request for free. Thanks the receptionist Emily for her recommendation on where to get authentic Guilin Mihun in Yangshuo. We receive free gift (green bean cake and luo han guo) upon our checkout. The only con I can think of is that receptionist allows a smoker to smoke at lobby even though non-smoking sign is shown. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay here.

Beautiful hotel with excellent position. The loud and crowded West-Street is only 50 meters distant, but you never hear any noise from there. The room was always clean and tidy with fresh towels every day. No wishes unfulfilled! The big roof terrace offers good chairs and phantastic view of the roofs of Yangshuo and of the surrounding landscape at day and night. It is also possible to dry washed clothes there. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff members. This hotel is highly recommendable!

The location is great. It’s a 5 minute walk to west street. The owner can book tickets for tourist attractions for a bit cheaper and can help you book cars. The view from the top is nice. It’s really loud outside but you can’t hear anything from inside.

It's very convenient to Yulong River, Shili Gallery, Songcheng eternal love, 20 yuan RMB and bamboo raft. Parking facilities are available near the hotel, including conference room, coffee shop, western restaurant, small bar, viewing pool, wanghong viewing terrace, the most beautiful sunrise viewing angle of Yangshuo (the first bay of Lijiang River), bamboo rafts on the wharf, lights on the fishermen's house, and wanghong shooting scene, which records the wonderful time in Guilin.

The hotel is very close to West Street and the city centre of Yangshuo. It has an amazing view on the Xitang River, and you can enjoy a swimming pool on the ground floor and a roof terraced both overlooking the beautiful mountains and river.
The staff is very friendly and they welcome us with a complimentary afternoon tea with fresh fruit, juice and cakes. Special mention Jessica who gave us some good pieces of advice about what to visit the area. The room was large and comfortable, with all toiletries and the hotel also has free laundry facilities and it was great to have all our clothes clean and dry within a few minutes. Breakfast is the traditional Chinese breakfast and they can cook noodles on request, but I would have preferred more continental alternatives. We also had dinner in the hotel and it was quite good and large portion. At checkout they gave us some gifts as souvenir to take home which was really nice.

This hotel exceeded our expectations and at a very reasonable price. The hotel is conveniently located directly over the central square of West Street. The view of the square is through windows that covered one full wall of the space. The room was the Cabin Suite, with two spacious rooms: a bedroom an a sitting area. The bathroom was very well laid out as well, with a separate shower stall (not always the case in China), and enough space for two adults to occupy the room at the same time. The price is surprisingly fair given the location, room quality and overall pleasantly decorated establishment. Each day an afternoon snack of fruit and tomatoes was delivered to the room. We would stay here again without hesitation. The hotel also has a rooftop lounge with an excellent view of downtown Yangzhou square . In addition there is a swimming pool on the roof with a fully functioning pool. One more note: there is an elevator.

Our family stayed for 3 nights and have only good things to say about the Hotel!
Service: The service was outstanding and we were well taken care of by 小赵 and 小邓. Both suggested excellent places to visit in Yangshuo. 小邓 took her time to share with us comprehensively about the places of interests in Yangshuo and we took up tour packages from them at a very good price. We were always greeted with similes upon entering the lobby. The lobby also has an excellent tea and free drinks for you to enjoy.
Facilities: There is a washing machine and dryer to use for free with washing detergent provided. The laundry space is huge and even has a TV, tables, chairs and bean bags for you while waiting for your laundry. 小赵 even offered to help move our laundry to the dryer as we were out and about but since the location was so great, we needed to take only a short walk back to the hotel to do so ourselves. FYI, the gym is undergoing renovation...
Location: Location is excellent and right at the start of the Yangshuo West Street. It is also not far away from the touristy places like Ruyi Peak (30mins drive)

The hotel is nice and central, and not too far from west street. If your room is unsatisfactory then you can just ask them for another (ours was humid because they washed the carpets). Self laundry services is available but you will need to take hangers from your room. They have a pool on the roof but it’s also only knee deep and can get pretty hot on summer days. Overall it was a nice stay and the staff are very helpful.

Great for the pool which gets sun most of the day but there are no loungers / beds! It’s is clean & well maintained though. Not badly located and rooms very clean, tidy & comfortable but very basic & Chinese. Liked the balcony. Plenty of restaurants nearby & only 20-30 minutes walk to West Street. Breakfast is a good spread but Chinese. They do have eggs & toast & fruit though for those looking for something more Western & salad bar with basics (lettuce, cucumber, tomato Etc). Great value for money if you’re in town to sightsee & not hanging around in the room & want some sun & a pool to cool off at the end of the day or chill before heading out. It referenced a “gym” but this was a closed carpeted room with 1 or 2 pieces of equipment which didn’t seem to be in use. The road it’s located on is very busy & traffic can be heavy so walk to e some that where you can. Staff are friendly & helpful but only speak Chinese.

LLucyVery nice and supportive staffs. They help us to arrange trips and transportations on request. The room and view in the hotel is super. The pool looks great even though we didn’t get the chance to use it due to weather conditions. Can take a short walk near the hotel to see the bamboo raft on the river. Overall I am happy about the experience.

From a warm welcome to a fond farewell, Tong Resort gives everything you’d hope for. The hardware was all in good working order, the level of cleanliness was excellent and the service is on par or even better than international-level 5-star hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton. Quite outstanding!
The hotel reached out to me prior to arrival day for check-in and special occasion arrangements. The hotel has a WeChat private service group where all of your requests can be disseminated at ease; with the nature of our trip being a birthday surprise celebration it was rather effective! The hotel offers private car pick-up service from Yangshuo Railway Station or you may also choose Didi. Upon arrival at Tong Resort, we were presented with welcome drinks, invited to be seated and were promptly escorted to our room. You can tell they have placed a lot of thought into the room features and design; they even embroidered the hotel logo into their bed linen.
The hotel offers shuttle car services to and from West Street, this is one of the most famous global streets in China which is a must visit for all Yangshuo travelers. When we arrived back at the hotel, we were spoilt with free late night snacks sent to our room and most importantly the hotel did not forget about the birthday cake which was timely delivered at 00:00.
The breakfast by the swimming pool was scrumptious. There is a choice between Asian and Western and you can select as many items as you wish from the menu which in turn gets freshly prepared for you. The team is doing such a good job; although the hotel has only been opened for 2 years, it seems as though the staff as been trained for over 10 years!
What’s more, after check out whilst we were waiting at the lobby for Didi, a staff member had the attentiveness to place down glasses of water which she had no obligation for doing. What a nice gesture! At the end, essentially it’s these finer touches that sets a hotel from its counterparts.

I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy.
Room Details
We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep.
Facilities and Services
The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it.
Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew.
Location and Accessibility
The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo.
Customer Service
The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay.
Overall Experience
The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo.
However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness.
In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

PPengguna TetamuVery lovely staff, helped book a trip to Ruyi peak. Bathtub was definitely a winner, you’ll want to close the blinds though as there’s another hotel next door. Breakfast was wholesome and generous, Guilin noodles and some small snacks. We expected the area to be a little more secluded but it looks like a lot of tourism and development is going on in Yangshuo. Still a wonderful stay.

HHuangJuliaGreat location right next to the ancient town and across from laozhai mountain. We got a “suite” which was basically 2 connecting rooms. Everything was new and fairly functional - though you can tell that a lot of the finishes are cheap despite its name that it’s a luxury hotel. Beds were too firm for our liking. Out view from our second floor room was of the street, so not a lot of privacy. Might be able to get nicer views if on third or fourth floor. Fine for a night or two. Staff do not speak much English. Breakfast wasn’t being offered at the restaurant which wasn’t a problem as it is located by lots of restaurants. However it is difficult to find food suitable for western palettes.

PPrairieTruthfully, I am having time finding words, and that's unusual for me. I must admit I was disappointed when Yangshuo Mountain Retreat cancelled my booking because of a wedding that had booked the place, but the photos of the garden sold me. I've been to Yangshuo perhaps five times over the last 10 years, and have stayed in every kind of place there-from a cheap hostel to the boutique rooms but my dream was to stay at YMR, where I always stop and have a whiskey by the river.
When we pulled into Liqui Town, I realized I had not explored this part of the valley and was disoriented. But then the staff greeted us, carried in our bags, gave us tea, peanuts, and oranges, and set to taking care of our every need. They were this way with us from start to finish-sending us off with a bag of fresh mandarin oranges and hugs-and a promise to send an invoice for our remaining expenses-which we still have not gotten!
Apart from the wonder of just those details, the food was exquisite, our farmhouse room was stylish and simple yet so thoroughly Chinese-in the most real and unassuming way. It was an honor and a pleasure to sip tea in the farmhouse and look at the many woodcut posters and Chinese propaganda songs on the walls while staring up from the tea table to the simply elegant clay tile roof resting on the original beams, feeling the mud bricks breathe out their history silently under a soft rain and the early crows of the neighborhood roosters. I
If one is quiet and still, I believe this little gem will give up her secrets, her history, and the story and true feeling of old-time village life amongst the stunning splatters of karst and water. We enjoyed watching the staff use the traditional well to clean up around the property, and the garden did not disappoint. Truly magical and filled with bonsai that some local master has been enjoying for many years. The food was excellent. We spoke with some Chinese tourists on the way out who were very disappointed with the local version of beer fish, ah but ours was exquisite, along with the drinks and italian food. It's very rare to find this mix of culture, authenticity, generosity, and good service all wrapped into a package that does nearly guarantee the fulfillment of the motto the girls wear on their shirts, ”be inspired....”

KKumaranHOW TO REACH: The local name of this hotel is “Wang Jiang” tower or building. This helps if you are traveling from Yangshuo Railway Station by taxi. I traveled with my friends – 3 families (with kids), and we are non-Chinese. Typically, several taxis are available at the exit of Yangshuo Railway station. Someone approached me who can speak English – so took a 10-seater. The cost is about RMB 20~25/person & takes about 40 minutes.
ROOM: Spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The balcony view helps, depending on which side the room is located on. I chose the front side view, which has both a river view and a mountain view.
HOTEL: Although the hotel doesn’t have a lift, the staff delivered the luggage to the room. If you need help at the time of checkout, they may help. But I did it on my own at the time of check-out. It is conveniently located close to West Street (10 min walk).
HOTEL-RESTAURANT: very good restaurant in 1F (vegetarian options as well!). It is very popular among the locals & we liked it too. But it gets very busy during the weekends. So, if the room is close to 1F, it will be loud till ~ 22:00.
HOTEL STAFF: All are very friendly and do their best to help foreigners. Many staff can speak English. In my case, YAWEN is worth mentioning, as she helped us a lot in planning our local trips. Even before arriving at the hotel, we had a plan. But our interactions with YAWEN (& her feedback) made it very convenient & time-effective for us.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: It is possible to book tickets for the Ruyi scenic spot, Silver Cave, Hot air balloon, Li-river cruise (from Yangshuo), Xinping (hot air balloon), Bus-trip to Longji Ricefields, & many more at the hotel.

JJcroBeautiful hotel with wonderful pool. Staff very nice and helpful - using a translate program to communicate. Only negative - 5th floor with no elevators and twice room card did not work and had to go back down 5 floors to get it fixed. Breakfast is Chinese but plenty of food for the set meal. They even gave us a surprise parting gift of some things, I think from their farm, rice and medicine ball for tea.
