Hotel berhampiran Lu Village, Daerah Yi

My family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site. One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days. At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us. Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

Absolutely fantastic place! The host is an extremely kind woman and helped us find our way around and cooks delicious dumplings. The location couldn't be better as it's just off the main road but secluded in a charming alley. Our room was very clean and gave an authentic ancient Chinese feel. Aircon and internet were very nice to have. I can recommend everyone to stay here a few days when visiting Hongcun, Xidi and climb the Yellow Mountain!

This is an awesome elegant place with great location. We travelled from Singapore and booked 3 rooms, and everyone is very happy and impressed with the stay. Need to call (or weixin) in advance to arrange for a buggy transport into the village, helpful if you have heavy luggage! The service staff are friendly and approachable. They are thoughtful in providing tea souvenir when checking out. What mars the great experience was that on my return, realized to my horror that there is no tea in the Tea-box. So, carried a tea metal box across the ocean for nothing! Did not expect such a service slip for such a top-class hotel. Regardless, will still highly recommend this place if you plan to stay in the village.

I will surely stay here again in future. Extremely nice/ cleanroom and very reasonable rate. Most attractions are like 5 mins walk away. Absolutely love the automatic toilet (I'm a bidet person 😂). Simple Chinese breakfast to start the day and it is free, so not complaining.

Excellent place to stay. Very close to the entrance of Hongcun village, making it easy to get to with luggage. The room was clean and had heated flooring making it cosy at night. Very friendly and helpful staff who organised transport for us. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

The first time I lived in a house with 200 years of history! Parts of it looks like a museum, but the rooms are modernized in a nice way! Seriously, it looks like a fancy tea place or a private mansion, never expected a hotel like this! The owner lady was very nice, showed the way to the place (navigation in the village is a bit difficult for a newcomer) and helped to change the room to a single bed when heard that my friend was not coming. Very friendly approach! I would recommend this place to anyone, who would like to get an authentic experience of Hongcun village!

Wonderful experience at this lovely and modern hotel. Located in a restructured traditional house at the outskirts of the village, just past the entrance gate. The landlady was very forthcoming and helped organize the transfer to the hotel and back. The included breakfast was delicious. An LD we even got some small sweets as a parting gift. Can only recommend.

The stay at Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was remarkable. Received a call from the host (小李管家) while on the way to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even helped me arrange a driver to pick us up from the Huangshan North train station at a reasonable cost. Driver (李师傅) was friendly and gave us lots of tips while visiting Huangshan and we ended up using his services throughout the 3 days we were there. When we arrived, 小李管家 was right at the hotel entrance waiting for my for us and checkin into our rooms was a breeze. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Most impressive was the hotel layout and design which was very artsy and minimalist for a place like Hongcun. It was simply amazing! Me and my family especially loved the lobby and the coziness especially in front of the fireplace during winter. Hotel Location was within walking distance (200m) to Hongcun Ancient village and around 40mins drive to Huangshan mountain and around 1.5hrs drive to the Huangshan North Station or Tunxi Ancient Street. Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives if they are planning to visit Huangshan one day!!!

去心心念唸的宏村玩 在攜程上看了好久 被這家酒店的大廳環境所吸引 第一次抵達的時候真的被大門口的竹子給驚艷到 酒店的環境絕對是一百分 管家給免費升級到了榻榻米房型 整個酒店氛圍特別舒適 以至於回家了兩天了還是懷念 酒店公區還有投影儀可以看電影 窩在沙發上真的很舒服 如果再去宏村一定還會選擇這家 實在是太有態度啦～對了 早餐的風景真的很不錯 現在是冬天 樹葉都掉了 不敢想象秋天該多好看 想吃什麼跟阿姨説都會馬上上上來 真的好喜歡 而且衹要回民宿前台小姐姐還會問候一句回來啦 跟回家一樣

Fabulous getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The service, attention to detail and hospitality is impeccable. If you're not lounging by the pool or enjoying some R&R there are quaint towns nested between the mountains mere walking distance from Shilily. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to slow down and relax. We'll be back!
