Ulasan Hotel JAL City Kannai Yokohama

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for two nights over a weekend, following a cruise around the Japan Islands. Our rooms were space-compromised, however, all necessary amenities, internet and personal extras were available in-room. Our breakfasts were included and I must say that they were of high quality and abundabce, catering to Japanese and European cultures... though not foods could have been hotter. The location is a good walking distance for the Port area, parks, Chinatown and shopping. Train services are available for destinations further away. Buses are available nearby to go to either Narita or Haneda Airports. Overall, very happy with our stay.

It was decent enough for a one-night stopover. I stayed on the ground floor, and the room came with an en-suite bathroom. There's also a parking lot, though I didn't use it. A basic breakfast was offered. Hope Fukushima recovers soon!

Nice location , near MRT , near bus stop and Yamashita park. The room is nice and clean. Full of facilities.

The hotel is conveniently located near the subway station, and it was only a 20-minute walk to the fireworks festival. Our twin room was quite spacious, clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The staff provided excellent service.

The room, while not huge, was very efficiently designed. We loved having a spacious bathtub for a relaxing soak every day. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly helpful and always had a lovely smile. We decided against staying in Tokyo, so we ended up extending our stay here for two more days last minute. The location is fantastic, making it easy to get to places like Kamakura and Izu.

The room is typical Japanese hotel size, so a 28-inch suitcase was a tight squeeze to open comfortably. The hotel's location is quite convenient, making it a good base for day trips to Kamakura and Hakone. It's also considerably more affordable than staying in Tokyo, and Yokohama isn't as bustling, which makes for a more relaxing travel experience. Yamashita Park, Chinatown, and the Red Brick Warehouse are all within walking distance.

The location is very convenient for getting around. For this price point in Japan, the room size is quite standard; there's just enough space to open a 20-inch suitcase on the floor without completely blocking the walkway. Chinatown and a baseball stadium are right next door. Sukiya, Aeon, Family Mart, and Lawson are all conveniently located nearby, and there's also a burger shop with a pretty good Wagyu burger. The seaside isn't far either, and a morning walk with the sea breeze felt really refreshing. We took the subway to Minato Mirai, but the shopping center there felt quite deserted, so I wouldn't recommend it.

1. The location is excellent. It's just about a 5-minute walk from Nihon-ōdōri Station, and Exit 3, which has escalators, is likely the closest, making it very luggage-friendly. There are plenty of convenience stores in the vicinity, and even a Patagonia store just a 5-minute walk away. 2. The breakfast spread is quite generous. If it's included in your room rate, it's definitely a good value. The seafood rice and burgers were delicious, though the curry rice was fairly average. My absolute favorite was the self-service salad bar, especially since it had fresh avocado – a fantastic way to get your greens and vitamins while traveling in Japan! 3. The soundproofing was surprisingly good. Typically, in many hotels, you can hear noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms. However, whether it was due to staying during an off-peak period or not, it was remarkably quiet at night, allowing for a very peaceful sleep. 4. Housekeeping was just okay. While they claim it's for environmental reasons, a full room cleaning is only done for stays of three nights or more. On other days, they merely replace towels and empty the bins. It definitely felt more like a cost-cutting measure than genuine environmental consciousness.

Reception was very friendly and helped with with maps and locations. Very friendly and tried her best to speak English. I’m impressed with her patience

We had a great stay at JAL City Kannai Yokohama. The hotel was very clean, in a great location, and offered excellent service. It’s within walking distance to many attractions and just 2 minutes’ walk to a Lawson convenience store. The front desk staff were friendly, spoke English well, and were very helpful — they even helped me book a taxi to Yokohama Station efficiently. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff, clear explanation. Free umbrellas to borrow near the lobby. Most importantly, it’s super near to the famous, Chuuka Kai, the Chinatown of Yokohama!! Lots of instagrammable pictures and landmarks around it too! Good for autumn visit

This hotel is convenient for those who wants to visit Chinatown. The location is good but this hotel didn't provide simple thing such as water & microwave service! The room I was staying was dusty, pillow was so thin and horrible. It wasn't a comfortable stay for me.

The location is close to China town and 10 minutes walk to Osanbashi Pier for the Celebrity Millennium cruise. We decided to take a taxi because it was hot and we didn't want to drag the luggage. So we asked the front desk to call a taxi. The cost was 1000 Japanese yen, and we paid about $7 with the currency exchange rate. It is worth purchasing breakfast.
