Hotel Dengan WiFi di Rhineland-Palatinate, Jerman

We had googled our way to the fact that the Hilton Mainz has a very good location right down to the Rhine and you can purchase access to the hotel's ”Executive Lounge”. We booked 5 nights and we were ready for a little vacation by the Rhine. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were quickly and efficiently checked in by Mrs. Blanco Flores, who upgraded us to a room with a view of the Rhine. Mrs. Flores made us aware, that the ”Executive Lounge” was unfortunately not that big, but we had to see that with our ”own eyes”. Really good service was provided upon check-in, and our expectations for the stay at the hotel became greater. The room we had been allocated was on the 5th floor with a wonderful view of the Rhine. We had booked a room with breakfast, so we were excited to see, how the breakfast buffet was. But we were very pleasantly surprised there 😊.. There was a reasonably large selection of various breads and hot items, so it was just a matter of getting started with breakfast. The hotel allows you to sit outside and enjoy your breakfast with a view of the Rhine, and watch the people walking and cycling past. We were very lucky with the weather, so breakfast was enjoyed for a little longer time than usual. After breakfast, we went up and see how the ”Executive Lounge” was. But unfortunately we were somewhat disappointed. The ”Executive Lounge” consists of 2 small rooms, where there were 3 tables in each room, and 3 people could sit at each table. When we got outside the time when alcoholic drinks are served, we could see that you could have a cup of coffee or an apollinaris. The snacks on display looked a bit boring, and the fruit wasn't of the best quality either. But cheer up, it could be good in the evening... But when we visited the ”Executive Lounge” in the evening, beer, wine and spirits were on display - but the snacks that were also on display didn't seem particularly inviting - so we didn't take any of them. Summary of our experience of the ”Executive Lounge” is that it is not necessary to purchase access to the ”Executive Lounge”. And we can only encourage hotel management to go on a study trip to Düsseldorf or Dresden, where we have experienced what an ”Executive Lounge” should really be like. In general, the level of service is very high, and the staff a super good service at the hotel 😊... Here we have to highlight in particular: Mrs. Flores from the reception, Heike from the breakfast restaurant and Brittany from Guest Relations. They gave us a really good service during our stay. In summary, we would give the hotel 4 stars out of 5. If the hotel should have had the last star, the ”Executive Lounge” must be upgraded with better rooms. (Could space be created for a small area down in the restaurant area, so that you also have the opportunity to sit outside on the warm summer evenings. We would like to come again at another time to enjoy the good location and super service 😊..

Glücklicherweise konnten wir einen öffentlichen Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel ergattern und der Parkuhr eine 24-Stunden-Buchung entlocken. Denn die schmale Einfahrt zur Hotelgarage sowie ein Parkliftsystem ist für unsere „Familienkutsche“ ungeeignet (Erfahrungswerte!). Verständigung mit dem Rezeptionspersonal recht „holprig“ mangels ausreichend guter Deutschkenntnisse von deren Seite. Eine an uns übergebene Zugangskarte für Zimmer und Hotelaußentür (ab definierte Abenduhrzeit einzige Möglichkeit ins Gebäude zu gelangen) war nicht freigeschaltet. Zimmer war für unsere „Ansprüche“ gut (erstaunlich für diese Hotelkategorie -＞ Kühlschrank für die Kühlung selbst mitzubringender Dinge vorhanden) Frühstück: Quark für Musli habe ich vermisst und leider nur die stark zuckerhaltigen Fertigcerealien vorgefunden. Ergo lieber gleich verzichtet. Weil mir der Meerrettich bzw. die Meerrettichsahne nicht zu den anderen Lebensmitteln passend schien habe ich nachgefragt, wozu dieser gedacht sei… Mit dem Wort Meerrettich konnte der „Frühstücksservice“ nichts angefangen. Also habe ich gefragt, ob diese „Zutat“ für „salmon“ gedacht sei. Daraufhin wurde mir erklärt, dass der Lachs aus sei (ca. 9:30 / gefrühstückt wird wohl im „Schichtsystem“, nachdem wir bei Anreise gefragt wurden, in welchem „Zeitfenster“ wir zu frühstücken besnsichtigen). Sehr irritierend - wir konnten nämlich unmittelbar zuvor direkt beobachten, wie eine nich halb volle Platte mit Lachsaufschnitt in die Küche getragen worden war. Wollte sich das Personal für‘s eigene Frühstück (auch das hatten wir beobachten können) diese Leckerei exklusiv „sichern“?

Hotel is a block from the 60s , rooms are very small, good location, nice bar and bar staff. Reception constantly under staffed. Bathrooms also take you back in time. The area is very attractive, but you need a car , there is a bus service from and to the hotel.

Mitten in der ”Neuen Mitte” liegt dieses Hotel. Wie wir da waren, war der Wasserschaden noch nicht behoben. Der Nebeneingang mit den Fahrstühlen tat es auch. Die Zimmer sind groß genug, sauber und im Bad gibt es Gläser aus Glas, kein Plastik. Spender im Bad für die Seife sind ebenfalls ein gutes Zeichen, keine Kleinstverpackungen. Betten ok, TV groß und W-LAN ging auch ganz gut. Die Flure schön, etwas dunkel viellicht? Bahnhof in der Nähe, ebenso Geschäfte. Der Stadt geht's gut, was ich so sehen konnte. Da stimmen die Gewerbeeinnahmen. Die Rezeption ist im vierten Geschoss. Ich nehm an, die kommt wieder runter, wenn der Wasserschaden behoben ist. Tolles Frühstück mit allem drum und dran. Respekt. Ebenso für die beiden Frauen an der Rezeption, die meine Anfrage nach einem anderen Zimmer souverän beantworteten. Anders ihr Kollege, der meine Frage unseriös fand.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were nice. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. They will give you a free drink coupon if you are willing to pass on your room being cleaned each morning. This is great because the only negative thing about the hotel is that the train station is the closest place to get coffee or food. It’s not far, but it is better if you can have coffee right after waking up.

Goed hotel voor de prijs. Schoonmaak kan iets beter; het ziet er allemaal schoon uit maar in de hoeken en kieren (bijv. onder de schuifdeur in de badkamer) zat nog stof. Bed lag goed, kamer is klein maar zeer praktisch ingericht. Badkamer is ruim en modern, maar het toilet zit voor mijn gevoel op een vreemde plek. Geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt, in de stad zelf zijn ook voldoende opties. Zeer vriendelijke man achter de receptie, dat mag wel even vermeld worden.

De afgelopen decennia verbleven we regelmatig in dit hotel. Trier is een favoriete bestemming voor een stedentrip. We hebben ook andere hotels uitgeprobeerd, maar Mercure blijft onze voorkeur hebben. Ruime kamers, zeer centrale ligging, voldoende parkeergelegenheid, fietsenberging, goed ontbijt en prima airconditioning. Het hotel doet wellicht enigszins gedateerd aan, maar regelmatige updates zorgen nog steeds voor een comfortabel verblijf.

We travelled to Ludwigshafen for business and looked for hotels near to the work premises, unfortunately the 'Excelsior Hotel' was first in the list. At only 90 euros a night (including breakfast) it is no doubt a 'budget' option, but it isn't budget in the respect of a Travelodge or Premier Inn, instead it's a lost hotel in a pretty unpleasant area which has been left to decay. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station, graffiti-covered walls surround the hotel, and the first impression of the hotel visually is not a positive one, it's hard to even find the way in, amongst scaffolding and concrete jungle. At night, it's a fairly unsafe-feeling area, with people 'hangin around' looking suspicious. The one positive aspect upon booking was the 'Skybar', however digging deeper into reviews, it's clear that it's been closed long before the 'pandemic', infact 4 years ago, and upon arrival we were informed that it's still closed with no future planned. There is no restaurant onsite, nor bar besides a mini-fridge sat on the reception desk with a few bottles of beer available. Upon check-in, I was also asked for my 'date of birth' and home address, which often feels irrelevant, I refused to give such details. Once in the room, via the lift which takes about 5 minutes to arrive and to move, there's no air conditioning which during 32c weather was painful, but fortunately there was a fan. The room size isn't bad at all and the bed was comfortable, but the presentation of the room, as a new guest, wasn't considerate. A pile of electrical extension and cables was next to my bed, not tucked away out of sight. The internet connection was virtually useless in the afternoon/evenings after guests start to utilise it, I resorted to using mobile data instead. There are balconies, but they're just concrete and far from cosy, although the view over the city isn't at all bad. There is no furniture and in addition from a security aspect someone could easily go from their balcony to yours, therefore always be sure to lock and chain the balcony door when not in the room, or at night. At night, you can hear noise from neighbouring rooms, above, below and to the sides, I am also fairly sure that I had 3 'bed-bug' bites from my two night stay at the hotel. Breakfast was included in my 90 euro rate and the breakfast restaurant isn't bad, the service is friendly but the choice is limited, a few cold options and minimal hot options, no bacon or sausages unfortunately. It was a little off-putting to see mouse-traps being laid around the restaurant while I was sat trying to enjoy my meal. While away from the hotel, I left the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, despite this upon return later that afternoon the cleaner had been into the room and cleaned, this is not acceptable when the message is clearly made that the room should not be disturbed. Das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen, ist nicht mitten im Geschehen aber man ist schnell in der Stadt. Wir waren eine Übernachtung da. Da keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer war haben wir das Fenster auf gemacht weil sich sonst die Luft sehr schnell in dem Raum staut. Schnell waren wir nicht mehr alleine im Zimmer und spinnen und Mücken waren dabei. Aber dafür kann das Hotel ja nichts. Einen kleinen Kühlschrank gab es auch nicht. Für eine Übernachtung nicht so schlimm.

The hotel is located in a great area of town. But what made my trip amazing was the help I received from Ms. Diana Blanco she was able to fix my reservation from the mistakes I made. She went above and beyond to make me and my dog fell welcomed for the few days we will stay here. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family, and hope they all receive the welcome that I received when I stayed there.

Vert disappointed in the hotel .. A shame because the location is good for the station and it’s just a 20 minute walk into the main part of town. Our room was pretty small. The public areas were dirty. Breakfast was pretty sp**** .. no one filling empty dishes so we made do with what was left .. the lift was broken during out stay and while we managed we had to help other guests with their luggage while staff looked on. We normally have great stays at B&B group hotels but we certainly will not return here.

This hotel is located just in front of the train station which is so convenient, also mean the main bus stop is here. It's quite well decorated. Despite its old built, it's well organized inside. Unfortunately I got the room on the backside but still got the top floor, so won't complain. They have AC and heater(separately). Just only one hair in found in the bathroom is the diasadvantage. Oh well, the blanket seems to be smaller than a queen bed. Maybe because I book just for one, anyway I hope to get a big one. A women at the reception I met was nice, friendly. Overall, I kinda like it here. Well, haven't tried thier breakfast so, can't say. I will be back here if I visit Mainz for some business reasons.

sehr gutes Hotel mit absolut gutem Preis- Leistungsverhältnis und Nähe zum Stadion. Das Hotel in Mainz Bretzenheim ist sehr sauber, die Zimmer machen eine modernen zeitgemäßen Eindruck. Der Preis für die Übernachtung war sehr gut.

Questa catena può diventare leader mondiale. Formula intelligentissima. Posizioni comode, sito prenotazioni preciso e veloce, camere essenziali ma letti comodissimi e insonorizzate al 100%, pulizia al massimo, cambio biancheria preciso e ”green”, bagni piccoli con doccia ma efficienti, attenzione massima ai materiali di consumo, TV modernissime, ottime colazioni a prezzi buoni. Massima efficienza al check in senza check out, ottimi orari. Sempre ottimi parcheggi o addirittura garage gratuito. Prezzo camera irrisorio. Pulizia ok. Parcheggio gratuito sufficiente come posti. Comodo da autostrada. Un pò fuori dalla città ma bisogna considerare che andare in centro richiede pochi minuti. Ottima colazione. 

The service was exceptional at this hotel. I had an issue the first night and when I explained it the staff the next morning they upgraded my room right away! Very close to the train station and center of town and the breakfast is very tasty. Definitely a comfortable place to stay.

Nachwehen… Ich wurde heute Morgen von eine Dame aus dem Favoriten-Restaurant angerufen. Sie wollte mit mir über meine Kritik sprechen. Zuerst hat Sie mir mitgeteilt, dass das Servicepersonal eine völlig andere Wahrnehmung hat und dass im Restaurant Kameras installiert sind und alles aufgenommen wurde. Zuerst hat mich die Information über die Kameras irritiert aber ich habe geantwortet, dass es im Prinzip gut ist, denn es wurde alles aufgenommen und kann faktenbezogen ausgewertet werden. Die Wahrnehmung der Kellner schien mir nämlich nicht faktenbezogen zu sein. Objektiv gesehen, kann ich das nachvollziehen – was kann man dem Vorgesetzten sagen, wenn man sich in Erklärungsnot befindet… Die Dame wolle noch einmal meine Version hören, dazu kam es kaum, weil Sie mich ständig unterbrochen hat. Sie nahm Worte in den Mund, die ich nie verwenden würde, nämlich es wurde behauptet, dass ich nicht möchte, „abgefüllt zu werden“, als der Kellner mir 2-tes mal den gleichen Wein nachschenken wollte, ohne zu fragen, ob ich das möchte. Dabei ging es mit dem nächsten Gang weiter und ein neuer, korrespondierender Wein sollte serviert werden. Schließlich habe ich gesagt, dass ich das Gespräch nicht zielführend finde und ich es gerne beenden möchte. Zum Abschluss hat die Dame noch in den Hörer verlauten ließ, dass Sie uns in diesem Restaurant nicht sehen möchte. Alles gut! Das habe ich doch in meiner Kritik geschrieben, dass wir nicht mehr kommen. Vielleicht wurde nicht alles gelesen oder die Dame wollte das letzte Wort haben. Für mich ist das ein Beispiel einer peinlichen Aufarbeitung…und bestätigt mich leider in dem, was ich geschrieben habe. Es gibt so tolle Restaurants in Frankfurt, wo cih schon mehrfach war, wie z.B. Villa Merton, La Fleur, (früher auch Emma Metzler) , Maintower oder Lohninger – dort stimmt die Qualität, Service und Freundlichkeit und dort gehen wir wieder gerne hin! PS Tipp-Fehlerkorrektur von der Hauptkritik: Keller = Kellner; wenn= wen

Obwohl vorab telefonisch abgefragt wurde, ob das Hotel auch wirklich geeignet sei für Rollstuhlfahrer und dies zugesichert wurde, stellte sich das hinterher als nicht so geeignet heraus. In der Tiefgarage gibt es keinen ausgewiesenen Behindertenparkplatz des Hotels, um den Aufzug als Behinderte nutzen zu können, musste man eine Zimmerkarte haben, die man aber erst nach Check In erhält und somit war der Zugang zum Hotel erstmal verwehrt, wenn man sich auf dem Weg zum Check In befand. Klingeln am Empfang aus der Tiefgarage heraus führte zu nichts, scheinbar war der Empfang zu diesem Zeitpunkt - früher Nachmittag, nicht besetzt. Eine Art Rampe auf dem Weg ins Hotel stellt für einen Rollstuhlfahrer alleine, der nicht so kräftige Arme hat, ein unüberwindbares Risiko da. Die Betten waren, wobei das vermutlich Geschmackssache ist, beiden Mitarbeitern viel zu weich, das Frühstücksbuffet war in Ordnung und reichlich , allerdings auch mit 16,00 Euro nicht ganz billig, wobei aber der Kaffee als nicht gut befunden wurde, was ebenfalls Geschmackssache ist. Lage des Hotels ist gut, man kann auch als Rollstuhlfahrer in Begleitung noch am Abend in die Stadt gehen oder einen Spaziergang/Spazierfahrt am Rhein machen. Alles im allem für uns nicht die erste Wahl bei der Unterbringung von behinderten Mitarbeitern.

As with most hotels in the B&B chain, you don't come here for the unique and colorful ”ye olde worlde” experience. But it is an absolutely fine place to stay if you're in transit (as we were) or in need of a less expensive room. We walked to the hotel from the train station - took about 15 minutes. The location is actually near the middle of this small historic town and all sights are within another 15-20 minutes walking distance, but as you approach, it feels like it's right at the junction of a busy highway. Two big roads near the hotel and the railway line. Has a real motel vibe actually and lots of carparks...highly recommended if you're driving through, we would assume. Room was functional and staff were friendly. A lot of things are automated, including a snack and drink machine in the lobby and automated check in and door keypads, but everything appeared well maintained. At one stage, we lost/forgot our room code and the lady we had to call later at night (after reception closed) was very sweet and helpful despite it being our mistake. Room was small and basic with modern decor. Very clean, comfortable enough and we had no problems with hot water or anything else. Left for the early train and didn't experience breakfast. Would say that, like many other B&B hotels in Deutschland, this is a great place for a quick stop. If you're wanting to experience Koblenz, a cute historical town, for longer or sample German culture, you'll be better off elsewhere.

Als wir anreisten wurden wir von einer lustlosen jungen Dame an der Rezeption begrüßt. Hier kam weder ein herzliches Willkommen oder die Frage, ob man eine gute Anreise gehabt hatte. Anscheinend unnötige Floskeln, die wir aus dem 4-Sterne Bereich normalerweise kennt. Schnell wurde uns unser Zimmer am äußersten Hotelende zugewiesen. Das Zimmer war wahnsinnig hellhörig, sodass wir die Schiffe, die stark frequentierte Bahnstrecke (hauptsächlich Güterverkehr) und den schnarchenden Gast im Zimmer nebenan hörten. Auf Beschwerde bei dem wirklich netten Mitarbeiter, der Nachtdienst hatte und wahnsinnig bemüht war, wurde uns ein anderes, ruhigeres und größeres Zimmer angeboten und wir konnten die restliche Nacht in Ruhe verbringen. Am nächsten Morgen wollte wir abreisen, aber der Hotelchef überredete uns zu bleiben, da wir das Geld über die Reisebuchugsplattform ohnehin nicht mehr zurückbekommen würden, was wie sich im Nachhinein heraus stellte gelogen war. Zudem sprach er mehrfach davon, dass er uns durch die Suite (größeres Doppelzimmer) ---＞ sehr dreckig s. Fotos entgegen gekommen wäre und wir für das Zimmer keinen Aufpreis zahlen müssten.

Das Hotel liegt perfekt. In ein paar Minuten läuft man ins Zentrum oder ans Wasser. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilsbereit. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und supersauber. Es ist immer sehr ruhig und still im Hotel. Das Frühstück ist phantastisch, mit einer sehr großen Auswahl und auch vielen VEGAN Optionen. Die Hotelbar ist gemütlich und nett. Absolut empfehlenswert! Check in was a lengthy affair, took absolutely ages, there was a guy waiting to pay for a couple of bottles of water from the fridge, I swear the water had gone warm by the time he got chance to pay for them!!! I had read a previous review about the staff and have got to say that one of the girls doing the check in seemed pretty scary, our check in girl was reasonably pleasant but the other made you feel like you were checking into a police cell!!! Anyway, hotel must be quite old but modern looking and well maintained. Decent sized room, clean with mini fridge containing complimentary drinks such as Coca Cola, beer water and a couple of chocolates which was a nice touch, tea and coffee making in the room. The only thing that was a bit odd was that if you opted for no room service (which gave you a voucher for a free drink, which was pushed under your door) someone still entered your room to replenish the fridge. We were staying for 2 nights and opted for this because of the Covid situation. Has air con but really does not work that well, much more cool air coming through the open window, we had it on the coldest setting and highest fan speed and was pretty rubbish. Beds for us were a bit on the firm side and could have done with a topper pad. Nice bar area downstairs and the staff there were extremely friendly. Good parking in multi storey car park which serviced the hotel and I think a conference centre, get your ticket validated for slight discount. I gave a lower star rating only because of the the firm bed, scary staff and bad air conditioning, I am sure that all these things could easily be rectified.

De afgelopen decennia verbleven we regelmatig in dit hotel. Trier is een favoriete bestemming voor een stedentrip. We hebben ook andere hotels uitgeprobeerd, maar Mercure blijft onze voorkeur hebben. Ruime kamers, zeer centrale ligging, voldoende parkeergelegenheid, fietsenberging, goed ontbijt en prima airconditioning. Het hotel doet wellicht enigszins gedateerd aan, maar regelmatige updates zorgen nog steeds voor een comfortabel verblijf.

Das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen, ist nicht mitten im Geschehen aber man ist schnell in der Stadt. Wir waren eine Übernachtung da. Da keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer war haben wir das Fenster auf gemacht weil sich sonst die Luft sehr schnell in dem Raum staut. Schnell waren wir nicht mehr alleine im Zimmer und spinnen und Mücken waren dabei. Aber dafür kann das Hotel ja nichts. Einen kleinen Kühlschrank gab es auch nicht. Für eine Übernachtung nicht so schlimm.

kamer wordt 1x per 3 dagen schoongemaakt en de gebruikte handdoeken worden dan afgevoerd, dus een flinke berg vuile was op de vloer, geen prettig gezicht. geen ventilatie in de kamer, raam kan op een ventilatiestand, maar als de kamer aan de voorzijde(straatzijde) is, dan is het geluid van het verkeer van de drukke straat TE TE TE, het raam moet dicht blijven maar geen frisse lucht is niet fijn. TE weinig parkeerplaatsen, echt een ramp, en dan ook nog vragen bij het uitchecken: of je auto op een HOTEL Parkeerplaats staat,( en dan ook daar geld voor vragen) Nee natuurlijk niet, die zijn er beslist onvoldoende. een hotel op het nivo van een jeugdherberg, zonder enig Hotel gevoel, voor mij geen repeat, frans florijn (NL) #2117 verblijf 13/10 tot 20/10 2023

very good basic hotel, nothing fancy but everythings works well, and very close to the city center. The best part is the free outdoor parking area. You can leave your car here and walk into the city.

This hotel, on the edge of the Trier Pedestrian Zone has a superb, very hard working staff, clean rooms, and exceptional breakfasts. Value for your money!! In particular I want to commend Sabile Ayaz, Emil Khanshat and Phil Grundhoth for their customer support in answering questions, making suggestions, and pulling up maps of where best to enjoy the surrounding areas. Well Done!! A great Team!!!.

When you go to a 4* hotel, you expect a certain level of quality such as having a fridge in the room and air con (all requirements for an international 4* . We were in the best room possible (bar the suite) and had none of the above, nor a kettle. The lack of amenities is disappointing and misleading (although I do not know if the star classification for Germany says that there needs to be aircon/fridge/tea/coffee making facilities.) When we arrived we were disappointed to find that this hotel is located in an industrial area. You have to drive between 2 car garages to get there. It does overlook a nice park but I pity the people who had car park view and view of the job centre opposite (approx half the hotel.) It seems the rooms are very hit and miss. A huge proportion will be on the car park side/job centre) side and the more expensive rooms will overlook the park. But the ones in the souterrain (basement) overlooking the park look like they might be quite dark. Our room had a nice balcony and was nicely furnished but we paid a lot to have this. The spa area is nice but lots of it is outdoors (i.e. to get to the relax room and one of the saunas you have to go outside.) We did not try breakfast. I feel the management should manage expectations and downgrade it to a 3* (at least for non-German travellers).

Their desk closes at 2000 (8pm) and we realized we weren't going to make it before that time. No problem! The owner and staff were very helpful in sending us a code with detailed instructions on how to get in. We had also booked a parking spot in their garage below the hotel, which we were able to access as well. Small garage but perfect for a normal sized car and very convenient - just read their instructions to make sure your vehicle is not to high for it as it has an electric lift system. All staff were very friendly, responsive and helpful. Made great recommendations for sights and restaurants. Rooms were nice and plenty of space for us. They're not huge but had everything we need and the hotel is walking distance to the main sites and night life. Would definitely stay here again!

Het hotel heeft een goede prijs - kwaliteitsverhouding. Een hotelkamer is erg goedkoop en netjes. De receptionist is erg vriendelijk en het hotel heeft een mooi uitzicht over de stad (vanuit het panorama terras) Ondanks de drukke weg voor het hotel, hadden wij geen last van geluidsoverlast. Het hotel is zeker aan te bevelen voor een dagje Trier! Het centrum is 10 minuutjes lopen vanaf het hotel.
