The building itself, in stark contrast to the blue ocean, is a huge work of art, and the exterior alone is stunning. The architect of the Louvre is the famous Jean Nouvel, a Pritzker Prize winner. The master's work is certainly extraordinary. 👍 The design is inspired by the palm trees of Abu Dhabi. The dome is an expression of admiration for nature, with complex geometric patterns made up of eight layers of metal, which create a kaleidoscope effect when the sun shines through, known as the "rain of light".
