Changbai Mountain | What is it like to visit Changbai Mountain in December?

It's like opening a blind box! Why? Because you never know when it will be open or closed! You might even get to the ticket office only to find out that Tianchi Lake is closed or that a certain attraction is closed for the day. But if you're lucky, you'll get to see the beautiful Tianchi Lake. Weather If you're planning to visit in December, make sure to check the weather in advance. This is important! If you see that it might snow on a certain day, don't go that day. It's best to go after it snows and the weather is clear for a few days. The weather at Tianchi Lake is usually nice on the first or second day after it snows. Tour route and time (North Slope) 1️⃣ First, go to the visitor center and take a bus (about 1 hour) to the actual attraction. Don't dawdle after you get off the bus. Go to the Tianchi Lake shuttle bus line and take a jeep to Tianchi Lake (about 15 minutes). 2️⃣ After visiting Tianchi Lake, go left to the Changbai Mountain Waterfall parking lot. There are two ways to get to the waterfall: hike (about 45 minutes) or take a snowmobile (about 3 minutes, CNY 50, and you can take it downhill to the hot spring). ‼️ If you're not in good shape but want to take photos along the way, we recommend taking a snowmobile up and then transferring your ticket to someone else and walking down (snowmobile tickets are not real-name tickets). This way, you can take it easy and take photos along the way. 3️⃣ There is a parking lot at each attraction. There are signs and staff to guide you to the next attraction. There are many buses, so the lines move quickly. Stamps 1️⃣ There is a cultural and creative store that offers stamps on the way from Changbai Mountain Waterfall to the parking lot. You need to make a purchase to get a stamp. You can get a stamp on a postcard, diary, etc. Prices are about CNY 35–40. You can also buy a single postcard (CNY 10), but the postcards aren't very nice. 2️⃣ If you don't want to spend money and just want a souvenir, you can get a stamp at the information desk at the ticket entrance.
