Day 5 - Yinxu Museum - Chinese Character Museum

The exterior of the museum is shaped like a 'ding' (ancient Chinese cauldron), symbolizing 'prosperous China, harmonious world.' Inside, there are basic exhibitions such as 'A Piece of Oracle Bone Shocks the World,' 'The Origin and Evolution of Chinese Characters,' and 'The History of Chinese Character Development,' as well as special exhibitions like 'Chinese Character Folklore' and 'The Forest of Character Books.' The museum boasts a rich collection of artifacts, including oracle bones, bronze inscriptions, bamboo slips, silk books, and steles, among various other forms of written records. The Yinxu Ruins Museum covers an area of 268 acres with a building scale of 51,000 square meters. It mainly includes exhibition halls such as the History of Yinxu Archaeological Excavation, Unearthed Relics Hall, History of Social Life in the Yin and Shang Dynasties Hall, Oracle Bone Hall, Jade Hall, Bronze Hall, and a Precision Archaeological Laboratory.
