Atami Plum garden and momiji

#christmastrip The Atami Plum Garden is located 10 minutes on foot from JR Kinomiya Station, served by the Ito Line, or a 10 minute taxi ride from JR Atami Station, served by the Tokaido Shinkansen, the Tokaido Main Line, and the Ito Line. Atami, in Shizuoka Prefecture, is a 45-minute ride from Tokyo Station on the Kodama Shinkansen (¥4,070); otherwise, it takes just under two hours on the Tokaido line (¥1,980). At Atami Station, transfer to the Ito line for Kinomiya Station (2 minutes; ¥150). From there, it is a 10-minute walk to the gardens. You can also catch a bus (15 minutes; ¥230), which runs four times an hour, direct to the gardens from bus stop no 1 in front of Atami Station; get off at the ‘Baien’ stop.
