Wat Sampanthawong

Wat Sampanthawong is a third-class royal temple, Worawihan type. It is located near the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River in Sampanthawong Subdistrict, Sampanthawong District, Bangkok, in the Yaowarat area. It was originally a temple of the common people called Wat Ko. Evidence of the original construction of the temple does not show who built it. It is known that it is an ancient temple that has been around since the Ayutthaya Kingdom before the establishment of Rattanakosin as the capital. Inside the chapel, there is a history of the temple for us to read. There are officers taking care of various points. After we pay homage to the principal Buddha image, we will go to the Khun Mae Boonruen pavilion. Which is a museum with a statue of my mother for worship and praying. There are two floors in total. The lower floor is a museum that displays my mother's things when she was alive, including her white clothes, letters in her handwriting, various sacred objects, and two statues of my mother for praying.
