🏡 Wat Sawatwaree Simaram was built in 1832 during the reign of King Rama III by Phraya Sawatwaree (Che Sua Chim). It is commonly known as Wat Kae Samsen and underwent major renovations in 1996. The key attractions within the temple include: 🏠 The Ubosot, designed in the royal style of King Rama III, features a hall with surrounding balconies and pavilions. It lacks decorative elements like chofahs, bai rakas, and hang hong, but is adorned with stucco naga heads. The staircase has curved railings, and the ends are decorated with Chinese stone lions. Inside, there is a group of Buddha images on a base, with the principal Buddha image in the Maravijaya posture, featuring a serene face. 🛕 Outside the sacred boundary wall, there is a white bell-shaped chedi and four smaller chedis. It is said that a consort built them to house the ashes of family members.
