Bang Khun Phrom Palace 🏰

Welcome to Wang Bang Khun Phrom, the magnificent palace of the royal family. This palace was built for His Highness Prince Birabongse Bhanudej, a member of the Chakri Dynasty and the Crown Prince of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. It is also the ancestral home of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn, the Princess Royal and the beloved mother of the Thai people. Wang Bang Khun Phrom is located on a 33-rai plot of land by the Chao Phraya River, south of Wat Thep Worawihan. There are two buildings within the palace complex: the Grand Palace and the Samed Sadej Palace. The Grand Palace was designed by German architect Karl Siegfried Döhring in 1901, but was later completed by Italian architect Mario Tamagno. The Samed Sadej Palace is an annex to the Grand Palace, designed by German architect Karl von den Ring in 1911. To visit this historical palace, you need to register in advance. It is open every Saturday and Sunday, with three one-hour tour slots available each day.
