This hotel is connected to the adjacent Shangri-La's Golden Sands. I could walk there through the gardens. For those on a budget, you can book the Golden Sands and then come over to enjoy the gardens. On my visit on October 6th, there were surprisingly few people, and it was really quiet. If the weather is good, you can directly watch the sunset. The Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa in Penang reopened in 2006 after a $30 million renovation. It is a luxury resort on Malaysia's most enchanting beach, Batu Feringqi, and only a 45-minute drive from George Town, Malaysia's oldest colonial city. The hotel covers 30 acres and is themed around gardens and tropical rainforests. The ancient and dense trees are the most precious natural gifts. I believe you will fall in love with it too. The hotel has two buildings: the Garden Wing and the Rasa Wing. The architecture is Minangkabau style, housing various Malaysian artifacts, including batik printing molds and coral sculptures, which are truly a feast for the eyes.
