China Medical History Museum

China Medical History Museum is located at No. 16 Nanxiaojie, Dongcheng District, Beijing, in the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It was opened in 1982 and is affiliated with the Institute of Medical History and Literature of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. The exhibition area is over 800 square meters. The cultural relics are displayed in chronological order, divided into primitive society, pre-Qin, Qin and Han, Jin and Tang, Song, Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming, Qing, nearly a hundred years of medical history and ethnic medicine cultural relics. The China Medical Museum exhibits a wealth of precious cultural relics of Chinese medicine: famous medical books, imperial manuscripts, book rubbings, ceramics, jade and other collections of more than 3,000 pieces. The exhibition system comprehensively shows the origin, formation, development and brilliant achievements of Chinese medicine. From the Neolithic Age to the modern Chinese medical cultural relics. The bone needles, bone cones, bone clusters and other bone medical instruments of the Neolithic Age are simple and exquisite, and the wooden carvings of Sun Simiao sitting on a tiger and a dragon in the Qing Dynasty are even more solemn and majestic. In addition, the portrait of Wang Kentang in the Ming Dynasty, the imperial acupuncture bronze man in the Qing Dynasty, the "Moxibustion Back Map" in the Republic of China, and the contemporary Chinese painting master Jiang Zhaohe's painting of the famous doctor's image show us the glory of the millennium national doctor. The imperial medical book manuscripts, rubbings, and good medical books, famous doctor manuscripts and ink marks are of far-reaching academic research value. For more than forty years since the establishment of the museum, the China Medical History Museum has attracted a large number of visitors with its unique cultural charm, popularized and promoted the profound Chinese medical history and culture, promoted the development of Chinese medicine, and won the praise of all walks of life and foreign friends. The China Medical History Museum is only open once a week on Wednesday afternoon from 13:30 to 16:30, and is not open at other times. So this is the museum with the shortest opening hours every week.
