Atomium

#europetrip An amazing piece of architecture that harkens back to a time where anything felt possible in Europe. Built in the 1950s, The Atomium feels as futuristic now as I imagine it did back then. The queue was roughly an hour, but it was a busy weekend so I guess that is to be expected. Although the queue was large, it never felt busy or packed once we were inside. The restaurant at the top was fantastic, I would recommend a traditional Belgium beer and a traditional Belgian waffle if you don’t want to break the bank too much. The views were spectacular. The light show inside one of the “balls” was phenomenal. A technological marvel only triumphed by the marvel of the “building” itself. The Worlds Fair museum in another of the “balls” was fascinating. Why don’t we have a Worlds Fair anymore?! This is a must for anyone visiting Brussels!
