|Fall in Love in Cambridge: A One-Day Tour Guide. On this trip to the UK, Cambridge was a must-see. I first learned about Cambridge as a child because of Newton, and later learned more about it because of Byron and Russell. Of course, the most memorable thing about Cambridge is the IELTS books. 🚄Transportation It takes about 1 hour to get from London to Cambridge. We bought our tickets directly at the station, but it's said that buying tickets online in advance is cheaper. 🏫Attractions: We went during exam season, so many colleges were closed. We only visited the King's College Chapel and the Business School. [King's College] Tickets are sold in the shop opposite the main entrance. ⏰Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 9:30–16:30. Opening hours may change during exam season, so check online in advance. The King's College Chapel is a prime example of Gothic architecture in the UK. The fan-vaulted ceiling inside the chapel is exquisite, and the painting on the altar is Rubens' "Adoration of the Magi." [Cambridge Business School] We passed by, so we went in to take a look. The interior architecture and color scheme are very modern. I couldn't help but lament that I didn't work hard enough to become a top student. [Boating] You can't miss boating in Cambridge. There are two options: 1. Row yourself. Up to 5–6 people can row a boat, and it costs about £24 per boat. It's more cost-effective with more people. 2. Have a guide row for you. It costs about £17 per person, and you can listen to some commentary. We chose this option for the two of us. [Dinner] Browns Restaurant on Trumpington Street is an old British restaurant. We went in because of the environment, and later found out that it's the number one restaurant in Cambridge. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in a great location, within the university campus, which is very convenient. It is next to the Cambridge city center park. There are many Chinese and foreign restaurants, bars, and some Chinese supermarkets across the street. The hotel is renovated from an old building, and the interior design is very tasteful. The rooms are very clean and spacious. I highly recommend this hotel for a trip to Cambridge.

They have a collection of scientific instruments from the Middle Ages to now. The entrance is free, so is worth to pay a visit to understand more about the history of scientific instruments. It is not in my itinerary but I just pay a visit because I passed by it and why not. When you come to Cambridge, England, you must go to the open-air market in the city center and go to the River Conn to support the boat pole😆 When I went to the market that day, it was around 1pm on Friday. Only some fruit shops, fresh fish stalls and shops selling hand rolls were open. It was likely that they would be open on Saturday/Sunday😅 But the mutton hand rolls were really delicious 🐑 And we bought about $ 220 of salmon, snow fish fillet and face pearl dumpling back to the bnb to cook at the fish stall, super cheap 🐟🐟🐟 Another must-see, is to take a small boat ride on the Kang River, the price of about $ 300 a person 🙈 The weather was bad that day, it was raining very densely, but also because of this, the whole Kang River only had three small boats 😆 The boatman said the peak season is especially important In good weather, the whole river can have 500 small boats together at the same time😱 Normal cruise ship, the boatman will not let you support the pole, because it is very difficult to control 😆 And that day because of the rain, plus the weather is still cold, the boat company provides hot water bags for each passenger 😍 and passengers can share Large blanket and umbrella to keep warm and protect from the rain ❤️ Very courteous Along the Kang River through the Bridge of Sighs, the Math Bridge, the University College, the dormitory, the green grass field...it really has a British atmosphere and taste😌 After 45 minutes, you will be back to the starting point to board the boat. Attractions - we visited Kings College, the cambridge market and even had some time left to look for dinky doors ! Just over an hour by train north from London you will find the university town of Cambridge. The name derived from the river Cam that passes through the town and colleges that are Cambridge university. Each college different and founded between 1500 and 1800 after an Oxford graduate fled to Cambridge after murdering someone. Most of the grounds remain private so a trip by boat, or punt, is the best way to see the grounds from the river. The town has many chinese restaurants given the many Chinese visitors looking for the bridge and inscription of Xu Zhimo who lived in Cambridge for a few years studing at Kings College and whoms romantic poems described his life and finally leaving either Cambridge or his love behind.

It is a must see museum if you are truly art lovers. As you can see from the photos, it includes many great art pieces, statues and paintings from Ancient Greek, China and Renaissance period from Italy. Venus and Cupid is the symbol of love in Greek mythology and the most important milestone art painting during the Renaissance period. Bodhisattva, from the Song Dynasty in China, brings the 13th century religion and workmanship to live. It's a short (relatively short) train journey away and is great when we don't know what to do on the weekend :) We tend to bring friends and family there when they come to visit. The town is really pretty, lots of students (as you can imagine) live there and the atmosphere is nice and lively. Would recommend. Have you been there before? If so, what is your favourite thing?
