Cebu: Beach Getaway

Cebu, Philippines is one of the most beautiful places in Asia to check out for a relaxinv getaway. This area has many independently owned resorts that feel luxurious and comfortable at the same time. As opposed to other more popular destinations in the Philippines, Cebu has marine life that is still healthy and thriving in the area. Cebu offers delicious Filipino foods, in particular their seafood. Make sure you order as much crab and shrimp here as you can, it's their specialty. While most of the resorts are far from the city center where all of the nightlife is, it's definitely worth a drive. The local discos are full of life and curious locals who want to get to know you. The people here are super friendly, especially to tourists. During our friends trip we stayed at Costabella beach resort. I would highly recommend it for their beautiful private beach, cabanas, and amazing food! The food at this hotel was some of the best I've had in a hotel. The only downside is that the entire hotel is a nonsmoking hotel. Oslob is near Cebu, there you can go swimming with whale sharks!
