Tanghu Park is located in Dongsheng Street, Shuangliu District, Chengdu, 18km away from the city center Tianfu Square. It was established in 1986 and took two years to build this park that features the natural beauty of Bashu mountains and rivers, and at the same time, reflects the garden characteristics of the north, the south of the Yangtze River, and Lingnan. It is a newly built municipal antique garden characterized by begonias and lakes, with the lake named after the begonia, delicate and exquisite. The park is built around the lake, hence the name "Tanghu Park". Chengdu Shuangliu Tanghu Park has many flowers, pavilions, rocks, and bamboo forests throughout the park.
